As we suspected, the supersport doesn’t get adjustable suspension for India
Even though the official launch of the bike is still to take place, the prices of the 2022 KTM RC 390 have surfaced on the website. If that is anything to be believed, the new RC comes in at a stonkingly high Rs 3,13,922 (ex-showroom Delhi). That’s a steep premium of Rs 36,287 over the outgoing model!
What makes this price tag all the more disheartening is the absence of adjustable suspension that is found on the international model. KTM continues to offer its 390s without the advanced suspension, first with the 390 Adventure and now with the RC 390.
Nevertheless, there is still much to look forward to on the new RC 390. The major design overhaul isn’t everyone’s cuppa tea as it continues to cause more divide when you see the bike in person. Once you do get over the polarising design, you notice the changes that KTM has done on the mechanical front and they all point towards a lighter, sharper and focused riding experience.
Complementing this handling update is the revised engine tune. The larger airbox adds a bit more torque across the rev range, the final output now rated at 43.5PS and 37Nm (1Nm more overall).
