Bajaj Pulsar 150: Same Price, Other Option

What else can you get for the price of the aged Pulsar?

What else can you get for the price of the aged Pulsar?

Of the plethora of Pulsars that Bajaj has spawned over the years, the Pulsar 150 has been on sale for the longest period. The Pulsar 180 became the Pulsar 180F, the Pulsar 220F came in much later, and the NS twins are a more recent phenomenon. The recent updates to the bike have been the ones mandated by the government, like the addition of ABS and fuel injection. Bajaj recently hiked prices of its Pulsar BS6 range. The Pulsar 150 BS6 received a price hike of Rs 2,004 for the Std variant and Rs 2,560 for the twin disc variant. The updated prices are Rs 96,960 (Std) and Rs 1,00,838 (twin disc). That has pushed the asking price of the iconic Pulsar to nearly a lakh, which is a lot. So, what else can you get for a similar price?

TVS Apache RTR 160 2V (Rs 93,500 - Rs 96,500):

The Pulsar 150’s fiercest rival has been the TVS Apache RTR 160. These two oldies have been at it for nearly a decade. The two bikes still hold importance for their respective brands’ sales figures, both in domestic and export markets. The Apache got its own BS6 updates which includes fuel-injection and Glide Through Traffic technology (also found on other TVS bikes). The addition of fuel injection has seen a marginal bump in performance. At 15.53PS and 13.9Nm it is 0.41PS and 0.87Nm more than before.

Honda Unicorn BS6 (Rs 93,593):

Honda had to revert to the 160cc motor for the Unicorn BS6. Due to popular demand, the Japanese bike maker had to bring back the old 150cc but it seems like that cannot be the case in the BS6 era. Hopefully, Honda has addressed the gruffness of the 160cc, which put off customers from buying the CB Unicorn 160 in the first place.

Aprilia SR 125 (Rs 93,496):

Aprilia two-wheelers have become really expensive in the BS6 era. Aside from the addition of fuel injection, there is nothing new to be found on the SR 125. This makes the new asking price of Rs 93,945 hard to digest. That said, it looks rather sporty and will appeal to younger buyers.

Revolt RV400 (Rs 1,03,999):

Revolt’s RV400 is the company’s flagship offering. This electric motorcycle can reach speeds of up to 100kmph and also go almost 150km on a single charge, if you ride it carefully though. Revolt has a unique subscription-based pricing plan but the upfront pricing of the RV400 is almost as much as that of the Pulsar 150 BS6.

Best bike for reliability!

I chose this bike because this is the most reliable bike in this price range and it is easy to trust electric bike for reliability. Other bike in this price range is ola roadster but that is not reliable and trustful. I rode this for long rides. Since I have this bike from last two years, I never faced any big problem like immediately switch off like other but with time its power slightly gets down which is normal and better. I bought this because from past 2 years this bike saved my fuel cost which will be equivalent to the price of bike so even it gets unusable after 4-5 years, this will not made impact because you can save very much fuel.Read More

The most comfortable racing scooter ever been made feels like your riding sports bike and vibe is so flaunting that it makes you the show stealer and show stopper, all in all my experience in buying this is way too beyond expectations and the sound produced from this beast is on next level. No other scooters of this generations can beat out of it as it can.Read More
