The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is a lot more feature-packed as it now comes with a more premium looking LCD console - same unit that we have seen on the Bajaj Pulsar NS160. It looks much better and the features like turn-by-turn navigation will be quite useful.

The bike also gets 3 ABS modes: Road, Rain and Off-road, which modulate the level of intervention. In fact, this is the only 125cc bike in India with ABS modes. You can read more about this particular variant in our launch story.
The Hero Xtreme 125R, on the other hand, manages to cover the basics, with single-channel ABS and call/SMS alerts. The lack of more features might not seem like a big deal but the shortcoming is really apparent when you compare the prices of both the bikes.

The Rs 3,896 premium over the Xtreme for a more feature-packed console and ABS modes seem to be a great deal if you’re looking for a sporty 125cc commuter bike with good features. However, it looks pretty much like any other bike in the Pulsar NS series, so some might find the Hero Xtreme 125R a better choice if they want unique looks, is affordable, while also having the basic set of features in place.

That said, if you’re planning to buy the Xtreme 125R, we’d suggest you wait a bit more as it is set to get a major update, including even a cruise control system!
We have also done a similar comparison between the top variants of the Pulsar NS125 and the TVS Raider 125.

VERY GOOD PERFORMANCEService and maintenance charge is normal, mileage is 50 - 55 kmpl on highway, 45-50 kmpl in cities and streets. Overall, it is a quite good bike with good performance and minimal costs. Everyday rides upto hundred kms can be done easily, I ride daily around 80 kms and it is very easy for me and it's a sports bike even with only 125 CC engine.Read More
