From a sportbike, roadsters, ADVs and more, here is what else you can buy for a similar price as the Duke 200

2024 KTM 200 Duke: Alternatives for the Same Price

The updated KTM 200 Duke was recently launched in India at Rs 2,03,412 (ex-showroom Delhi). It now comes with a new TFT instrument console from the KTM 390 Duke, new features and a new Metallic Silver colour scheme.

We have compiled a list of other bikes and scooters that you can buy instead of the KTM 200 Duke, from a sport bike to a roadster, an adventure bike and more:

1. Yamaha R15M: Rs 1,98,300 - Rs 2,08,300 (ex-showroom)

Engine: 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder

Power Output: 18.4PS at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm

 Yamaha R15M

The Yamaha R15M was recently updated with new colour schemes and updated features like turn-by-turn navigation and music controls via the Yamaha smartphone app along with an LED light for the rear number plate. The console layout has also been updated to display the new features. R15M also comes equipped with traction control, a quickshifter (upshift only), and a slipper clutch as standard. The Yamaha R15M gets 3 colours: Metallic Grey, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP edition, and Icon Performance.

So, if you want a truly sporty bike to go to college or Sunday rides then the Yamaha R15M would be the best one to go for. Its stunning looks, impressive performance and feature-loaded console make it the perfect beginner sport bike to ride around in the city as well as the racetrack, whenever you want to.

2. Royal Enfield Classic 350: Rs 1,93,080 - Rs 2,30,000 (ex-showroom)

Engine: 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, J-series engine

Power Output: 20.21PS at 6,000rpm and 27Nm at 4,000rpm

Royal Enfield Classic 350

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is one of the best-selling Royal Enfields in the market after the Hunter 350. The Classic 350 was also recently updated with new features, all-LED lighting and new colour schemes. It is now available in a total of 11 shades: Madras Red, Jodhpur Blue, Medallion Bronze, Commando Sand, Gun Grey, Stealth Black, Emerald, Redditch Red, Redditch Grey, Halcyon Black and Halcyon Green.

The Classic 350 comes with commanding looks, complemented by its muscular fuel tank and round headlight. Although not the most powerful bike, it is fun to ride and makes a strong style statement. Whether you want to ride it in the city, commute to college or want to head to Leh-Ladakh, the Classic can do it all. Plus, Royal Enfield’s extensive service network around the country and even in remote areas of Ladakh will make it easier for you to get your bikes serviced on long rides as well.

3. Yezdi Adventure: Rs 2,09,900 - Rs 2,19,900 (ex-showroom)

Engine: 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder

Power Output: 29.60PS and 29.80Nm

 Yezdi Adventure

If you want to go for an ADV, the Yezdi Adventure can be a good option to consider. Now, with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 discontinued, the Yezdi Adventure bridges the gap between the Hero Xpulse 200 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. If you feel the Xpulse 200 is underpowered, but the Himalayan 450 is too big and powerful, then the Yezdi Adventure would be the perfect bike to go for which balances both.

Recently, the 2024 Yezdi Adventure was also updated with a more refined engine and gearbox, a slimmer and lighter tank-mounted luggage frame, a new exhaust pipe route, and a new coolant tank placement. All these changes have made the ADV more refined with better off-road capability than before.

The ADV has an all-LED lighting setup and an LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity. It also gets turn-by-turn navigation and a USB charging port as standard. It is available in four colourways: Wolf Grey DT and Glacier White DT have a gloss finish, and the Magnite Maroon and Tornado Black have a matte finish.

4. Triumph Speed T4: Rs 2,17,000 (ex-showroom)

Engine: 398.15cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder

Power Output: 31PS at 7,000rpm and 36Nm at 5,000rpm

 Triumph Speed T4

The Triumph Speed T4 is the newest and most affordable motorcycle in Triumph's 400cc range. It is Rs 23,000 cheaper than the Speed 400. It comes with a similar design as the Speed 400 but with different paint schemes. The bike also misses out on an inverted fork, produces 9.5PS and 1.5Nm less than the Speed and gets MRF Zapper-FX2 tyres (skinnier 140-section rear) as compared to the Vredestein tyres (150-section rear). It comes with a more padded seat and has adjustable levers as well.

Although it is not as powerful as the Triumph Speed 400, the Speed T4 is still the most powerful bike on this list. It has a more linear power delivery much suited for calm city rides in contrast to the Speed 400 which has a more peppy and lively engine. Moreover, the Speed T4 looks gorgeous and is available in three colours: Metallic White, Phantom Black and Cocktail Red Wine.

5. Ather 450 Apex: Rs 1,94,998 (ex-showroom including EMPS 2024)

Motor: PMS (Permanent Magnet Synchronous) electric motor

Power Output: 7kW and 26Nm

Ather 450 Apex

If you want to go green and opt for an electric scooter, then the Ather 450 Apex would be the perfect one to get. The electric scooter accelerates from 0 to 40kmph in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 100kmph (claimed). It comes with a 3.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and claims to deliver a true range of 110km on a single charge.

The electric scooter has a sleek design and looks awesome, with the matte ‘Indium Blue’ colour with orange highlights on the frame and wheels. It offers sharp handling and an enjoyable ride.
