Lambretta is set to showcase its first electric scooter at the 2020 Auto Expo. The brand also has other offerings in its lineup like the V50, V125 and V200, of which, the latter is most likely expected to target the booming 125cc and above scooter space in India. Aside from the different engine displacements, the scooters share the exact same retro design which Lambrettas are known for, albeit with some modern components. Its feature list comprises of LED lighting at both ends, an LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity and a 12V charger. Additionally, Lambretta also offers each model with the option of a fixed or flexed mudguard (moves along with the wheel). Practicality doesn't take a backseat here as the scooter also gets two storage compartments and a luggage hook.
Powering the V200 is a 168.9cc, Euro 4-compliant, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. It puts out 12PS of power at 12,000 rpm and 12.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Fuel tank capacity stands at 6.5 litres, which should be sufficient for daily commutes.
The Lambretta V200 is built around a semi-monocoque chassis with telescopic front forks and a single shock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends.
