17 December, 2010: Vibgyor Vehicles, a West Bengal based two wheeler maker, has introduced its long awaited Vibgyor Hunter in India. The Hunter is priced at Rs 41,500. The bike comes loaded with 4 stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, air cooled, 124.1cc that develops max power of 9.78 ps at 9000 rpm and churns out top torque of 9 Nm at 8000 rpm. The Vibgyor has been gifted with kick/electric start, 18 inch tyres, 5 speed gearbox, and front disc brake.
West Bengal based Vibgyor Vehicles has decided to sell its bikes across India. In order to achieve this target, the company has launched two new bikes in India at Delhi Auto Expo. The new bikes are named as Vibgyor Shark vv150cc and Vibgyor Hunter vv125cc. The company is already selling Vibgyor Gallop 100cc in the country. The Gallop is not doing well in market but the company is hoping to do well with two new bike models. In fact, it equipped the bikes with latest technology which is to score well than others in the class.
The Vibgyor Hunter comes loaded with 4 stroke, single cylinder air cooled, SOHC engine along with 124.1cc of displacement. The powerplant of Vibgyor Hunter belts out a peak power of 9.64 bhp at 9,000 rpm and pumps out 9.0 Nm of top torque at 8,000 rpm. The bike comes with self and kick start options. Vibgyor Hunter sports five speed constant mesh gearbox. The gear shifting pattern is one down and four up.
The yet-to-be available Vibgyor Hunter possesses front disc brake and rear drum brake. The forks in Vibgyor Hunter are telescopic and hydraulic type at front and rear respectively. The bike is having 18 litres of fuel tank with a 1.5 litres reserve. The Vibgyor Hunter is longer than Shark while the wheelbase is a little less in size.
The designer of the Vibgyor has done a good job by providing Vibgyor Hunter a unique look. Apart from body colour, the bike has black treatment. It is fitted with a larger carrier at rear that can be used as grab rails by passenger. Silver outlines has been used at alloy wheels and muffler that make amazing look.
The Vibgyor Hunter comes equipped with an air cooled, 4 stroke, single cylinder, SOHC engine with a displacement of 124.1cc. The mill of Vibgyor Hunter is capable of producing a top power of 9.64 bhp at 9,000 rpm and generates a peak torque of 9.0 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The Vibgyor Hunter is blessed with a larger 18 litres of fuel tank and 1.5 litres of reserve. You can get a fuel economy of around 60 litres in city.
Vibgyor Hunter had been showcased in red body colour at Delhi Auto Expo 2010. Now it is reported that the bike will be available in red, white, black and grey body colour. As a tradition, the body colour will be used at front fender, mask, petrol tank, rear and side panels along with racing graphics. The rest of the Vibgyor Hunter body is having black shade.

Vibgyor Vehicles has come up with two new bikes and win a part of battle by design it very well. The Vibgyor Hunter has been blessed with big mask and bold graphics. The front view of the Vibgyor Hunter sports body colour cowl and front fender. The mask is designed in round shape along with black shade wind shield. The cowl also has graphics at sides. Front mud-guard is painted in body colour. Rear grab rail cum carrier and rear view mirrors are in black colour.
Rear view mirrors are mounted on handlebars with regular switches including self start, high beam, horn and turn indicator switch. This time in Vibgyor Hunter, the fuel tank has full body colour and sharp graphics. The fuel tank is designed keeping rider's comfort in mind. The Vibgyor Hunter has got step-up seat that is longer and wider with proper cushion. At rear side, a carrier cum grab rail is provided which serves two purpose.
The tail side of the bike has brake light and rear fender. Vibgyor Hunter has been loaded with a black finish silencer along with silver grille type heat shield. The most noticeable thing in the bike is its five spoke alloy wheels. It is to be mentioned that wheels are in black shade but decorated with silver linings that make a 'Star' like shape.
Commuter bikes in India have been bought due to its comfort level and fuel efficiency. Vibgyor Hunter is also developed on the same line. The bike has got longer and wider seat. Seating position is upright that allows long drive without fatigue. The Vibgyor Hunter is fitted with rear carrier cum grab rail. You can use it for carrying bags like articles and as a grab bar for the pillion. The Vibgyor Hunter has been loaded with front disc brake and standard suspensions.
The overall length of the Vibgyor Hunter is more than Vibgyor Shark. It is 2030mm. Whereas the overall width is 740mm and height is 1060mm. The Vibgyor Hunter has got ground clearance of 165mm and minimum turning radius of 1800mm. It has got a wheelbase of 1281mm.
The Vibgyor Hunter has fitted with an air cooled, 4 stroke, single cylinder, SOHC engine with a displacement of 124.1cc. The 124.1cc mill pumps out a maximum power of 9.64 bhp at 9,000 rpm and generates a top torque of 9.0 Nm at 8,000 rpm. It is blessed with a five speed constant mesh transmission along with wet multi-plates clutch. The gear shifting pattern in Vibgyor Hunter is one down four up. The ignition system is CDI and spark plug from Mico Bosch.
Apart from this, Vibgyor Hunter boasts of self and kick start options. Surprisingly, the company has fitted it with front disc brake that is not so common in the premium bikes in India. On the other hand, the suspension system is just good. The Vibgyor Hunter has been gifted with a larger capacity fuel tank that is of 18 litres.
As far as wheels and tyres are concerned, the Vibgyor Hunter is having 18 inch of wheels. It comes in alloy type. The colour of alloy wheels is black and their outline is painted in silver colour that make 'Star' shape. That can be called a fantastic job by the company's designer. The front tyre of Vibgyor Hunter comes in 2.75x18-4PR and rear one comes in 3.00x18-6PR.
Vibgyor Hunter comes with a lot of advanced features but suspension system is standard. Nowadays some of two-wheeler manufacturer are introducing entry-level bikes with rear gas charged suspension in the same price range. The Vibgyor Hunter sports front telescopic frok and rear hydraulic fork. Still, these suspensions serve their purpose very well on Indian roads.
Vibgyor Hunter has been loaded with front disc brake and rear drum type brake. With the front disc brake, controlling the bike becomes much easier as it ensures instant braking. The rear drum brake of Vibgyor Hunter also works for halting the bike at once. Drum brake can't work in bad weather or condition especially in rainy season. The standard suspension of Vibgyor Hunter also help to add comfort to the riders.
