The bike is louder now, but loud does not mean better

The two-wheeler modification culture in India is very interesting and exciting, but more often than not, it also defies logic, and is unsafe. One such foolish modification that the internet has brought to us is an as-modern-as-it-gets Yamaha R15 V4 flaunting an old-school-cool peashooter exhaust from the Royal Enfield Bullet 350.

Sure, at first you would be interested in this unique combination as it definitely stands out. And that is a good thing, as you can identify it and stay away. That’s because exhausts have a specific profile that matches the design of the engine so that it vents the gasses out effectively.

By changing up the exhaust, what you do is put the bike's engine and valves at risk as there will be a lot of residual unburnt gas that may be trapped within the exhausts. While it is harmful for the engine, it is also harmful for the environment as well. Oh also, the exhaust setup on this R15 is a free flowing one, which means that the emission and sound levels are higher than what’s legally allowed. So this exhaust setup is also illegal and will definitely get you in trouble with the cops.

Now lastly, sportbikes generally have a shorter and upswept exhaust setup for better cornering clearance. With the Bullet 350 exhaust on the R15, the clearance has gone for a toss, and the exhaust will definitely scrape while cornering. The ground clearance is compromised as well, so when the bike goes through a pothole or a speed breaker, it will scrape as well.

We understand that modifications can be fun, but if that compromises the performance and practicality of the bike, and/or harms the engine, it is definitely not worth it. In addition to that, if it is illegal, then you should stay away from such a modification.

Yamaha r15 v4 is a great fully faired sports bike
The reason i chose this bike was quite a story in short, i was a student who was about get in college and i needed a bike to travel a quite moderate distance. When i was searching for a bike which is highly affordable as well as stylish on the looks and has great features too! Then i came across this masterpiece which was totally worth it. The ride is great so far. But there are few factors to look for if a beginner is going to buy this bike, as a fully fair bike the biggest issue would be comfort on long ride eg. Posture issue because of the aggressive stance fully fair bikes usually have. But for the short to moderate distance its great soo far. And handling also good, and mileage is better than expected. One more thing to consider, if someone lives in a crowded city like area they can this as this bike isn't a street fighter or naked body bike for city specific conditions. I would absolutely recommend this bike to even a beginner who want to get a thrilling ride experience of a fully fair bike at price rang as low as this, mileage also great compared to other similar bikes, great handling too, maintenance is also fairly rated i would say, totally worth it!

      Royal Enfield
Good for city traffic and once the bike is ridden for 3/4 kms, its more smoother and with rising fuel price, the bike provides a very good mileage compared to its rivals and in long journeys Royal Enfield is much more reliable. This bike never disappoint. Very positive experience. I have been riding it in city traffic and compared to other bikes, this bikes is way more smoother and easy to handle. Good riding posture, good fuel economy, even long rides are fun to have in a Royal Enfield. The bike is reliable and good build quality, good to ride and every one who has ridden one has never regretted and this bikes are like u have one and u can ride them for years without any issues. Nice bike.
