Upcoming Scooter Launches In 2025: Honda Activa e, Hero Xoom 125R And More
From ICEs to EVs, 2025 will see a lot of different scooters entering the market
A new year brings with it the excitement of seeing new two-wheelers entering the Indian market. Here are the scooters expected to be launched this year:
Hero Motocorp
Destini 125
The Hero Destini 125 is all set to be launched in 2025 with a completely refreshed design. It is powered by a 124.6cc, single-cylinder motor producing 9PS and 10.4Nm. The scooter has a boxier design language compared to the model it is going to replace and also has a new, retro-looking LED headlight and DRL setup. It will be launched in three trims: VX, ZX and ZX+. It is expected to be priced between the Rs 85,000 to Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom) mark.
Xoom 125R
The Xoom 125R was spied testing in India a few months ago and the scooter has sharp design lines, beefed up bodywork and aims to attract a younger crowd with its sporty appeal. It could be powered by the same 124.6cc engine from the Destini 125 but could be tuned differently. The Xoom 125R has 14-inch alloy wheels at both ends and first-in-segment sequential indicators. The Xoom 125R is expected to be priced between Rs 80,000 to Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom).
Xoom 160
This Xoom 160 marks Hero Motocorp’s venture into the performance scooter market and will likely be launched by mid-2025. It will be powered by an all-new 156cc, liquid-cooled engine with silent starter and start-stop function, and will be equipped with ABS. The Xoom 160 is expected to be priced at around Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming maxi-scooter will rival the likes of Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Aprilia SXR 160.
Honda
Activa e
The highly anticipated Honda Activa e was unveiled in December 2024 and is expected to be launched in the next few weeks. Honda has started the official bookings for the Honda Activa e in India in select cities. The electric scooter has two swappable 1.5kWh batteries which Honda claims will provide a range of 102km. It will have a claimed top speed of 80 kmph and will be available in two variants: Activa e and Activa e: Honda RoadSync Duo. The scooter is expected to be priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
QC1
The Honda QC1 is expected to be launched alongside the Activa e and will be priced lower than the Activa e. The QC1 gets a single non-removable 1.5kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 80km and a claimed top speed of 50kmph. It also gets 26 litres of underseat storage. The Honda QC1 is expected to be priced around the Rs 1 lakh (Ex-showroom) mark.
Suzuki
Burgman Electric
As of early 2023, Suzuki had announced plans to launch its global electric lineup and the Suzuki Burgman Electric was a part of this growth strategy. The Burgman Electric has been spied testing in India before and is expected to be launched sometime in 2025.
Updated Access 125
The updated Suzuki Access 125 was spotted testing last year and it has a more modern and sporty design compared to the current model. It has a chunkier looking headlight cowl with a rectangular-shaped LED headlight and the upcoming model also gets an LED taillight as well. It will likely be powered by the same 124cc single-cylinder engine producing 8.7PS and 10Nm. It is expected to be launched by mid-2025.

2025 Ather 450 series
Ather Energy updated its entire 450 series of scooters for 2025 very recently. The series includes the 450S, 450X 2.9kWh, 450X 3.7kWh and 450 Apex. - My opinionIt has clean finishing good looking, thin having, good mileage, having better features than any other petrol scooter, it is electric vehicle it is sports scooter so it has modes too fast charging service centre is available. I had done something around 12000 km driven this scooter for long ride it isn't good it is slightly uncomfortable it could give you back pain and scooter may could get heat if you are riding in the summer weather. This scooter isn't for long ride but if you want this for going to college, school or for work it's good vehicle. This scooter looks attractive and has good enough speed to reach the destination.
