UM Motorcycles Launches 24x7 Road Side Assistance Programme In India

The Road Side Assistance Programme will help UM motorcycles to create a better brand value in the market and will attract more buyers as well.

A brand that entered the country formally in February this year, UM Motorcycles Limited (UML) has now launched 24x7 Road Side Assistance (RSA) service for its customers. Starting from January 1st, 2017, the service will be available pan India for all of its models available in the country.

The India-based electric bike maker, Lohia Auto, is manufacturing and retailing the UM motorcycles in the country. Till now, the American brand has launched just 2 cruiser models here, the Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sport S, starting at Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company has already received over 4,000 bookings for its motorcycles and it expects to close the running financial year with overall sales of 12,000 units. With 35 dealerships all set to start sales, 15 more are on cards, and the company aims to roll out around 40,000 motorcycles per year from these stores by FY18.

Coming Back to the Road Side Assistance, UM Motorcycles customers will be benefitted with this program without any additional charge. It will offer them on-spot repairing and assistance service in cases such as a road accident, dead battery, flat tyre, lost/damaged key, empty fuel tank (supply of up to 1 litre fuel) or any other mechanical/human error.

Launching the RSA programme, Rajeev Mishra, director, UML, said, “The UM Motorcycles’ Road Side Assistance Program has been launched with the aim of providing emergency roadside assistance services round the clock to ensure a hassle free UM Motorcycles ownership experience. Our RSA program is a comprehensive service they intend to reduce the inconvenience caused to the customers in case of an accident or vehicle immobilisation by providing customers with timely services."

"We are extending the policy for all customers aiming to provide them pan India reach with maximum assistance, benefit and services. The initiative aims to resolve on-road problems faced by the customer through a 24/7 helpline and personal assistance,” he added.

Targeted to provide a better ownership experience to UM Motorcycles customers, the 24X7 Roadside Assistance Programme gets activated the moment you take the delivery of your vehicle. It could really be a helpful initiative for UM to create a strong customer base in the country, especially when you are offering bikes that are going to be used for long rides as well. Moreover, the company will soon be starting an exclusive riding club for its customers, which will further help them to attract enthusiastic buyers looking for some motorcycle adventure.
