TVS Jupiter 110 vs Honda Dio: Detailed Comparison
Of the two, the Jupiter is quicker, more feature-loaded and practical…

The TVS Jupiter 110 is our favourite 110cc scooter for a reason. It has enough performance, is priced well, is very practical, and has tons of features. And, that makes us wonder, can the Honda Dio even keep up? The Dio was quite a sporty looking scooter back in the day but in the last couple of years, it just hasn’t moved up the ladder as much as the competition has. To see if the Dio can hold its own against the Jupiter, we’ve put them head-to-head:

- The Honda Dio scooter’s base model is priced a fair bit lower than the Jupiter 110’s base model. Being the more basic, bare bones scooter of the two, Honda has been able to give it a more competitive price tag.
-
That said, the premium that the Jupiter demands over the Honda scooter is quite reasonable, especially given that it definitely has the more kit of the two.

- Both scooters can be ridden by pretty much everyone in the family: low seats, narrow bodies, manageable weights, and just enough room for taller riders.
-
While the Dio still looks sporty, we’ve seen this design for quite a while now and it doesn’t look fresh. The TVS Jupiter scooter, on the other hand, thanks to its new design and bright colours, looks fresh and modern. We quite like the way it looks.
-
The tiny 18 litre boot of the Dio is a surprise, Honda should’ve given it a bigger boot.

Features & Safety

|
|
- Check the Dio’s features list and you’ll see that its low price tag also comes from its lack of features. The Dio doesn’t even get an LED headlight as standard. In 2025, that is a bit surprising.
-
The TVS Jupiter, meanwhile, has all the features that any scooter in this segment should get. In fact, a lot of them might even come across as an overkill. What we’re happy about is that the scooter also has features which can be used on a daily basis, like the big 33-litre boot.

9.03Nm at 5500rpm |
- Both the scooters’ power and torque figures look closely stacked on paper but they feel quite different out in the real world. The Dio feels like a proper commuter that’s best ridden at a gentle pace, also returning good mileage. Ride it a bit fast and you’ll know that the scooter is out of its comfort zone.
-
But the TVS scooter has a dual nature: it can be an easygoing scooter with a great mileage (61.2kmpl as per our tests) when ridden calmly. But, twist the throttle harder and you’ll see that there’s a bit of fun hidden in there. The Jupiter also handles very well so you’d end up breezing through everyone else in traffic.

Verdict
The TVS Jupiter 110 is the winner – it is better value for money. As we said earlier, it’s quicker, feels smoother, has more features and just feels like the more modern, the better purchase of the two.
Now, if you’re on a strict budget, you might be tempted to just get the Honda Dio and the temptation is understandable. But we’d still suggest saving up a bit more to get the Jupiter, for you will then have the better scooter.
Rivals:
- The Jupiter 110 has more kit at a lower price than Activa 6G, making it the better value for your money
- Get the Zest 110 over the Jupiter if you want a tiny, accessible scooter at the cost of having a big boot
- The Jupiter 110 edges ahead of the Destini 110 thanks to its big boot and features like the iGo assist
- Get the Jupiter 110 over the Destini Prime if you want something that has more space, features and a bigger boot
- Buy the Jupiter 110 to have a scooter that’s a better all-rounder than the Pleasure Plus Xtec
- The Jupiter stands out more than Xoom 110, thanks to the extra space on offer
- If your everyday commutes are on the longer side, the money you’ll save on petrol with the iQube 2.2kWh will be worth it
- While the Jupiter is a great scooter, the Chetak C2501’s handsome looks might be too good to resist for old-school buyers
- If you want something that stands out on the road, the Vida VX2 Go’s exclusivity might impress you
