According to the October 2025 SIAM (Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) sales data, we saw some interesting developments in scooter sales. We have compiled a list of the top 5 best-selling scooters:

The Honda Activa range includes two scooters: The Honda Activa 110 and the Honda Activa 125. Both the scooters are known for their family-friendly design, robust engines and good mileage. In October 2025, Honda sold 3,26,551 units of the Activa range, which is a 37.37% increase in the Month-on-Month (MoM) sales numbers. This trend continues for the Year-On-Year (YoY) sales as well, with an increase of 22.39%.

The TVS Jupiter range has two scooters: TVS Jupiter 110 and TVS Jupiter 125. The Jupiters are known for their innovative features and are one of the most feature-packed scooters currently on sale in India.
TVS sold 1,18,888 Jupiters in October 2025, which is a 16.34% decrease in MoM sales. When compared to the sales from October 2024, this is an 8.37% increase in YoY numbers. We think the decrease in MoM sales seen above is a direct result of the increased festive demand in September. But do expect the sales to go up in upcoming months due to the reduced prices in GST 2.0 regulations.

The Suzuki Access 125 is one of the most popular 125cc scooters in the country, with over 70,327 units sold in September 2025 alone. It is a 2.64% decrease in MoM sales and a 5.99% decrease in YoY sales.

The TVS Ntorq 125 is one of the most popular 125cc sporty scooters in India as of now. With its aggressive design, sporty looks, and peppy 125cc motor, it is the most suitable pick if you want performance with practicality.
TVS sold 41,718 Ntorqs in September 2025 alone, a significant increase of 25.48% in the MoM sales. The YoY sales have been consistent with its popularity and have increased by 4.12%. Also, in mid-September, TVS launched a new colour for the TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP, along with some new features, which might be the reason for this jump in sales.

The Burgman Street range includes the Suzuki Burgman Street and the Suzuki Burgman Street EX. The Suzuki Burgman is a maxi-styled scooter that is based on the same platform as the Suzuki Access 125. So, if you like the Access but want a more spacious scooter, the Burgman might be able to do the job pretty well.
Being a Suzuki, the Burgman has a good fit and finish, a reliable engine and also returns decent mileage from its 125cc motor. With these traits, it is quite popular and the brand sold over 27,058 units in October 2025. While this is a 4.23% decrease in MoM sales, the overall YoY sales have shown a growth of 32.12%, which is quite a commendable feat. We also expect these sales numbers to change positively in upcoming months, as Suzuki has announced it will pass on the full GST 2.0 benefits to its customers.
