The gap between the Aprilia SXR160 and Yamaha Aerox 155 is closer than ever

Aprilia has increased the prices across all variants of the SR and SXR range of scooters and the Storm 125 for the month of May. Here’s how much more you would have to pay should you want any of them:

As seen in the above table, the degree of hike for all the Aprilia scooters is substantial enough to affect your purchasing decision. 

Aprilia 125cc scooters have quite a few rivals such as TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Burgman Street 125, Suzuki Avenis, Yamaha Fascino and Honda Grazia. However, in the 160cc segment, Aprilia currently has only the Yamaha Aerox 155 as the primary rival. 

The Japanese scooter now costs just Rs 466 more than the Aprilia SXR 160 at Rs 1,37,539 (ex-showroom Pune), but offers better features and performance thanks to the Yamaha R15-sourced liquid-cooled 155cc engine.
