Design
The Aprilia SXR 125 is a bit hard to distinguish from its larger sibling, the SXR 160, as it has the same chassis and design language. Nothing much is different except for the smaller engine. The overall design of the scooter is beefy, and the angular bodywork manages to grab attention too. That said, we wish there were more design elements that distinguished it from the SXR160.
Features
In terms of features, the Aprilia SXR 125 comes with a fully digital instrument cluster that displays information such as speed, time, temperature, fuel level, and trip meters, along with readouts like top/average speed, and average mileage. The scooter also comes with a USB charging port and full LED lighting. Overall, the features aren’t that impressive, as Aprilia could have included smartphone connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation too.
Riding Posture & Comfort
The Aprilia SXR125 comes with a long, single-piece contoured seat to ensure optimum comfort for both the rider and pillion. The flat floorboard should also allow small luggage to be stowed. The riding posture is upright, allowing for a comfortable ride in the city and on the highway.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
Powering the SXR 125 is a 124.4cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that puts out 9.61PS at 7500rpm and 10.19Nm at 5400rpm. The scooter is able to offer peppy acceleration in the city but the 125cc displacement might seem quite small for a scooter designed to look like the high capacity maxi-scooters that are common in the streets of Europe. Overall, the performance is adequate for commuting and the scooter is able to offer decent acceleration.
Handling & Ride Quality
The Aprilia SXR125 is equipped with a telescopic fork and a single rear shock absorber to handle most bumps and potholes with ease. The front 220mm disc along with the 140mm rear drum – with CBS – should ensure good braking performance.

The Aprilia SXR 125 is a good scooter if you’re looking for a sporty-looking maxi-style scooter with a modern, Italian-inspired design. Its only rival in the 125cc maxi-scooter segment is the Suzuki Burgman Street 125, which is not only much more affordable, but is also more feature-packed.

- Detailed review of Aprilia SXR 125I have been using Aprilia SXR 125 since April of 2023. Good handling, Nice design, Bad fuel efficiency, High Maintainace (service advised every three months, which is not the case with other scooters). I have ridden less than 1300 Km in a year. Last week, the clutch of the scooter broke while i was getting it to the service center for the 5th service. The parts were replaced, but all expenses are out of my pocket, the 5 years warranty which was offered does not cover this repair. The explanation I was given is that the clutch was damaged because I rode the scooter with the brake engaged. This made no sense to me as I have owned two other scooters with no one else operating the vehicles. For 15 years I had a TVS scooty pep+ without such clutch issues. And under 1300 km usage, damaged the Aprila scooter's clutch in my use. I am thinking of going to the consumer court. I would like to know if any other Aprilia customer has faced the similar situation.Read More

The Aprilia SXR 125 is the smaller sibling of the Aprilia SXR 160 and utilises the same chassis and design but with a smaller engine. It is Aprilia’s most affordable maxi-style scooter in India.
Aprilia SRX 125 Design:
The SXR 125 comes with a maxi-style scooter design, with a beefy apron accompanied by a large windshield to help the scooter cut through the wind more effectively. The rear body panels are also muscular, and angled somewhat upwards. The chunky exhaust goes well with the overall maxi-style theme but the chrome finish on the heat shield looks a little out of place.

The Aprilia SXR 125 costs Rs 1,34,810 (ex-showroom) for all four colour options. It is available in a single variant.
