[UPDATE: Royal Enfield has launched the Hunter 350. Full details in our launch story]

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been spied at a dealership, giving us the first clear look of the bike ahead of its August launch. The roadster is unlike any other bike to have graced RE’s portfolio, and as we had reported earlier in our exclusive story, it will be available in two variants.
With proper retro-roadster styling, the Hunter 350 gets a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with knee recesses. Following the signature RE design language, the roadster gets a circular headlight, taillight and indicators, along with minimal body panels. But it also gets a well-cushioned single-piece seat, and a short exhaust end can, all of which are quite different from the general RE bikes.

At the front, the roadster features a long, high-rise handlebar with an offset semi-digital instrument cluster, indicating that the Tripper navigation assist will be available as an accessory. The bike is seen in a dual-tone paintscheme, rolling on black alloys with a high-mounted rear mudguard. The other variant (likely the base model) gets a single-tone silver colour scheme, with RE stickering on the tank and it rolls on wire-spoked wheels.

According to a leaked type approval document, the Hunter 350 produces 20.2PS from its 349.34cc single-cylinder engine, the same as the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Meteor 350. We also know that it will be the most compact Royal Enfield bike, and will weigh around 180kg, making it the lightest as well.

The roadster’s suspension setup comprises a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. For braking, it gets discs at both ends on the higher variant, while the base trim will have to make do with a single disc up front, for at the rear, stopping power comes from a drum brake unit. Both variants of the bike get road-biased CEAT tyres, however, the higher variant is likely to get tubeless ones, while the base variant could get tube tyres.
With its launch being so close, the anticipation is real. Expect Royal Enfield to price the Hunter 350 from around Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable bike by RE until the 2023 Bullet arrives. The Hunter will go up against the likes of the Honda CB350RS, Yezdi Roadster, TVS Ronin, Jawa Forty Two and the upcoming Triumph-Bajaj motorcycle.

- royal enfield hunter 350 my reviewIt's a really good bike to ride in the city. Really good torque and also has amazing exhaust. Note even with stock however the rear suspension is a bit hard. Not a bad bike at all if you are looking for daily commuting along with a good amount of power. Eyecatching and people have even stopped me to ask about the bike and overall the bike is really good.Read More7 13

- Royal enfield the build machineMy first preference is short height bike because it's easy to handle it plus maintenance was so reliable. As per compare to the other with the same segment Hunter is far better then others. I really love to ride royal enfield bikes. For the city riding you love it like handling was very amazing plus throttle response is very amazing. For the lobby route you can adjust your seat or add some cusion over the seat or buy the new seat. For the city purpose you can buy this bike only. As I have a classic 350 and metor. l really like to ride hunter only because that machine is more powerfull as compared to other RE machine like the engine sound and silencer sound without changing any parts it shows the old version one.Read More18 7
