BS3 and BS4 Royal Enfield 350cc bikes are now E20 ready

    Royal Enfield E20 Kits Explained

Royal Enfield has rolled out E20-petrol compatible conversion kits for its BS3 and BS4 compliant 350cc bikes. Here is its pricing and other necessary details:

    What Is It Exactly?

Royal Enfield has introduced these E20-fuel compatible kits for its older bikes to address the concerns regarding increased ethanol content in fuel. One of these kits comprises an E20-compatible carburettor priced at Rs 4,010 for the BS4 models, and Rs 3,042 for the BS3 models.

The Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer has also launched another kit that has replacement parts like fuel hoses, O-rings, seals, and rubber fittings. This kit is priced at Rs 1,692 for the BS3 models, and Rs 1701 for the BS4 ones. The brand says its solves the concerns of leaks and blockages happening over time due to usage of E20 fuel in these older bikes.

    Availability

Currently, the kits are available for the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350, and Electra models – which use the previous-gen UCE 350cc engines with carburettors. However, there’s currently no information about any specific kit for the 500cc engine motorcycles. The availability of both these kits are currently inconsistent, so we advise you to speak to your nearest service centre to confirm about the part availability.

So, I have owned this bike for like 3 years now, and no major problem has been there. It works well, looks amazing, and has low maintenance cost, at least for me. But the only thing is that it’s more of a cruiser, so from a speed perspective, it kind of lacks. Overall, a solid choice, just like its name, it’s a Bullet.
