As the petrol-powered industry struggles, the EV player is seeing steady growth

  • The company currently has one facility in Manesar, Haryana.
  • It is looking to set up a second manufacturing facility in the South.
  • An investment of Rs 250 to Rs 300 crore is planned.

Revolt Intellicorp has revealed that it is in talks with state governments regarding the establishment of a second manufacturing facility. It will be built at a cost of Rs 250-300 crore and the aim is to have it set up by the end of this fiscal year. This will add on to the existing plant in Manesar, Haryana, that boasts an annual production capacity of 1.2 lakh units.

The new factory will be in the South region. It is being set up to reduce delivery times, as demand grows for Revolt’s RV300 and RV400 electric motorcycles. The company has successfully reduced the waiting period from 5 months to 90 days, and hopes to bring it down even further.

After successful launches in Pune and Delhi, the brand recently entered Hyderabad and Ahmedabad where its first batch of motorcycles sold out in record time. Next up on the list are Mumbai and Chennai, as Revolt makes a push to be India’s leading EV player by the end of 2020-21. However, with COVID-19 and its contagion rate, it remains to be seen whether Revolt manages to execute its plans.
