-
Aprilia claims savings worth Rs 58,000-Rs 60,000 for early buyers
The recent revision in GST rates on motorcycles above 350cc will push up prices across the segment. The tax rate, currently 28% plus 3% cess (a total of 31%), will be raised to 40% under GST 2.0. As a result, Aprilia’s 457cc models: the RS 457 and Tuono 457 are set to become more expensive.

Expected Price Changes for Aprilia 457 Models
The Aprilia RS 457 that’s currently priced at Rs 4.23 lakh (ex-showroom), may cost Rs 4.52 lakh from 22 September 2025 - marking an increase of Rs 29,000. The Tuono 457 may also see a jump, moving from Rs 3.95 lakh to Rs 4.42 lakh ex-showroom, which is a Rs 27,000 rise. We have made these calculations factoring in the GST differences on ex-factory prices.

Why Aprilia Claims Up to Rs 60,000 in Benefits
The Italian bike maker claims one can avail benefits up to Rs 58,000 on the RS 457, including a quickshifter that’s worth Rs 20,050. On the other hand, Tuono 457 buyers can “enjoy benefits up to Rs 60,000”. But Aprilia hasn’t been very clear about what exactly these benefits mean - whether they’re price discounts or the expected savings post GST 2.0 implementation.

We are seeking clarification on the same with dealers, and will update the story. In the meanwhile, we reckon these might be the expected bump in the overall prices post GST 2.0, considering the fact that along with the ex-showroom price, the insurance premium and the state road taxes might also go up as a consequence.

Finance Offers
To soften the blow, the brand is offering limited-time finance schemes valid until September 21 on the RS and Aprilia Tuono 457. These include 100% funding on ex-showroom prices, interest rates starting at 7.99%, and loan tenures of up to five years. While these offers won’t offset the GST hike entirely, they make it easier for customers to secure a purchase at the older pricing. Also note that Aprilia has mentioned that the offers are at the dealers’ discretion, and terms and conditions apply.

BikeDekho Says
The GST revision will affect not just Aprilia but most motorcycles in the mid-capacity and premium segments. Buyers planning to purchase such models may see similar increases across brands. Booking and getting the bike delivered early remains the only way to lock in lower prices before the new rates take effect on September 22.
