Honda is set to launch the Activa Smart today. Now, we already told you about the name from our earlier story. But what exactly will the ‘Smart’ variant entail? Read on to find out!

The Activa Smart comes in with just a few changes. The first one is the inclusion of  ‘anti-theft’ measures, perhaps a scaled-down version of the Honda Ignition Security System from the bikemaker’s larger-capacity offerings such as the CBR650R, CB650R and the Africa Twin.

Moreover, the document also revealed that the Smart variant will be a kilogram lighter than the standard model, but we’ll know for sure once Honda launches the variant later today.

With all this in mind, we expect the Activa Smart to be priced at about Rs 3,000 more than the DLX variant, which costs Rs 75,859 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Activa Smart will go up against the TVS Jupiter, Hero Pleasure Plus Xtec, and Hero Maestro Edge 110.
