Honda Launches The New ADV 160 Adventure Scooter Abroad For Rs 1.93 Lakh

The idea of an adventure scooter is pretty cool. Taking something as utilitarian as a scooter and giving it a wild streak sounds exciting to the enthusiast in us. And this is why Honda’s ADV line of scooters is so special. Joining the ranks of the PCX160 and Vario 160 is Honda’s 2023 ADV 160 maxi-scooter.
Honda has kept the design more or less consistent to the ADV style sheet, giving it that brawny and aggressive look like the ADV350. What’s new are the two colour options – Mat Charcoal Gray Metallic and Vivacity Red, with the gray version being particularly attention grabbing with its yellow graphics.
Another novelty of the Honda ADV 160 is the traction control system. Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), as the brand calls it, can even be turned off, allowing you to slide your rear wheel out of a corner when getting down and dirty. Dual-channel ABS is also included as standard. Not to mention, the Honda ADV 160 has an Idling Stop System (ISS) feature that improves fuel efficiency. Other changes include a redesigned speedometer on its digital instrument console.
As the name suggests, the ADV 160 gets a 156.9cc engine dishing out 16.2PS & 14.7Nm. As for its price, Honda is charging IDR 36,000,000 for the ADV 160, that’s roughly Rs 1.93 lakh (before taxes), which is the same as before. And while that’s not a ridiculous sum of money for something that looks and promises a lot of fun, we might not see the ADV 160 come to India anytime soon.
