Honda QC3 vs TVS iQube 3.1 kWh: Price Comparison

Honda recently launched the Honda QC3 and we have compared it against the TVS iQube 3.1 kWh. Both are compelling options in the EV-family scooter segment. We help you pick the better one:

Honda QC3 

The Honda QC3 gets a modern yet minimalist design language all over the bodywork. The scooter has wide handlebars and an upright riding position, which should make everyday commuting easy. Also, it has a long, spacious seat and a large floorboard, which should add to its everyday practicality. 

It is available in four colours: Matt Photon Gray Metallic, Pearl Precious White, Pearl Shallow Blue, and Pearl Siren Blue. 

The Honda scooter is powered by a 3.0 kWh battery pack, which gives it a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 145 km. 

Feature-wise, it is equipped with a 5-inch TFT display, which comes with Bluetooth connectivity, call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation and gets a smart key with keyless operation. 

Suspension duties are taken care of by a conventional fork, and the rear gets dual shock absorbers. On the braking front it gets a disc brake at the front and a drum setup at the rear. 

TVS iQube 3.1 kWh 

The TVS iQube gets a proper family scooter design. With an apron-mounted LED headlight, and and overall boxy shape, the scooter appeals to a wider range of audience. It gets five colour options: Pearl White, Titanium Grey, Walnut Brown, Starlight Blue-Beige, and Copper Brown-Beige. 

The scooter gets a 4.4 kW hub motor, which is paired to a 3.1 kWh battery. It has a claimed IDC range of 123 km, which is 22 km less than the claimed range of the QC3. It has a claimed top speed of 82 kmph which should be enough for both city and highway commutes. 

It takes 4 hours 30 min to charge 0-80% using the standard charger, which comes with the scooter. 

As for the features, it gets a 5-inch TFT display which hosts connectivity features such as Bluetooth connectivity, call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. The scooter gets two ride modes: Eco and Power, where riders can choose between more power or range according to their requirements. 

Suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork and twin-shock absorbers at the rear. It gets a 220 mm disc at the front and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear.

Both scooters make a good proposition for buyers looking for a family EV scooter. The Honda QC3 is Rs 1,127 affordable than the TVS iQube and has a much better claimed range. But if you want a tried-and-tested electric scooter, then the TVS iQube makes the most sense.
