Honda ADV160 Full Specs Revealed

It’s more powerful than the Aerox and Xoom 160

Honda has finally revealed the full specs of the recently launched Honda ADV160, and here is everything you need to know:

The ADV 160 is a rugged-looking maxi-scooter, which gets some design cues from the brand’s bigger adventure bike. The scooter gets upswept exhaust and tyres with a block pattern, which elevates the overall stance of the scooter.

It comes in 4 unique shades; check out our colour explainer webstory to see how they look on the maxi-scooter.

Features

The scooter features a 5-inch TFT display, which shows necessary information such as the speedometer, odometer, fuel meter and trip meters. It gets Honda RoadSync, which enables features such as mobile connectivity and call/SMS alerts.

On the safety front the scooter gets single-channel ABS and traction control – that should help with unwanted wheelspins on slippery or uneven surfaces.

Engine

Powering the scooter is a 156.93 cc air-cooled engine, which produces 16.31 PS at 8,750 rpm and 4.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm and is paired to a CVT gearbox. Also, the scooter is compatible with fuels ranging up to E85.

Underpinnings

Braking duties are taken care of by discs at both ends. The scooter is suspended on a telescopic fork, and it gets twin shock absorbers at the rear.

The scooter length is 1,966 mm, which is 14 mm shorter than the Aerox 155. Its wheelbase is 1,333 mm. The scooter gets a massive 175 mm ground clearance – that should handle most of the rough roads without breaking a sweat. Everyday convenience is sorted with 27-litre of underseat storage to carry your daily essentials. It gets the largest fuel tank in the segment – 8.1 litres – meaning fewer fuel stops while riding. It has a kerb weight of 137 kg.

BikeDekho Says

On paper the ADV-styled scooter is feature-rich  than its rivals, the Aerox 155 and the Hero Xoom 160. However, only seat height, and brake disc size are yet to be revealed.

At Rs 1,70,000 (ex-showroom), the ADV160 is quite more expensive than its rivals. The additional sum it commands may make it a difficult choice for some. However, the scooter looks unique and its rugged styling might be more appealing for those who want their scooter to stand out.

Check out how the scooter goes up against the Hero Xoom 160.

Also, we have compared the ADV 160 with its Japanese rival, the Aerox 155.

__________

I driven this scooter in Thailand. I wish it would be the same when it comes to India, mostly they reduce the power and might make it slow, but I'm still waiting for it. Its like a bike that's all it matters to me. I might tuned it though and might change alot of parts so it operates max with its power.Read More
