The Xtreme 200S looked really good in the red paint option during our first encounter with the motorcycle, but is it the best one?

Until now, the Suzuki Gixxer SF was the only fully faired motorcycle on sale under the Rs 1 lakh mark. But now, Hero has come into the picture as well with the Xtreme 200S. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 98,500 (ex-showroom), which makes it around Rs 420 more expensive than the Gixxer SF. At this price, it is one heck of a deal, considering that you get a 200cc engine, interesting features and modern looks. And if you are planning to add the Xtreme 200S to your garage, our first ride review will certainly help you.

The fully faired motorcycle looked really good in the Sports Red paint option when we rode it for the first time at the BIC. But if that’s not to your taste, there are two more options to choose from - Mapple Brown and Panther Black.

1: Mapple Brown:

It’s not often that we come across a fully faired motorcycle with a brown paint option. And Hero could probably be amongst the first ones to offer the same. Compared to the other paint options, this brown shade looks a bit dull. So, if you were to ask us, we would probably stay away from this one.

2: Panther Black:

We don’t know where Hero got the inspiration for the name of this paint option from *cough* Black Panther *cough*. But, it doesn’t matter, because it still looks pretty decent to us. The black inserts inside the headlamp make the motorcycle look even better. So if you want your Xtreme 200S to look stealthy, this is the one for you.

3: Sports Red:

Red is the most bright colour option for the Xtreme 200S and we have to admit the bike looks the best in this shade. It amplifies the lines on the tank and the fairing. Also, the smoked windscreen and the black centre panel further accentuates the bike’s appeal. Out of the three paint options that Hero is offering, the red one wins by a mile.
