350cc Triumph Bikes Get Another Price Hike; Speed T4 Up By Rs 10,000!

Some models now cost more than their former 399cc versions!

Barely a month after revising prices across its 350cc motorcycle range, Triumph has announced another round of price increases for all six models. This is the second revision since the brand downsized the platform from 399cc to 350cc in April, following the GST rate reduction.

With the latest hike, the Speed T4, Scrambler 400 XC and the Thruxton 400 now cost more than they did when they were equipped with the larger-capacity engine.

Every Model Sees A Price Increase

Unlike the previous price revision, in which the Scrambler 400 X and the newly introduced Tracker 400 escaped without changes, this latest update affects the entire lineup. The hikes range between Rs 3,000 and Rs 10,000 depending on the model.

The biggest revision has been applied to the Speed T4. Its asking price has climbed by Rs 10,000, taking it to Rs 2.09 lakh. Compared to its pricing at the beginning of the year, the entry-level Triumph bike is now Rs 14,000 more expensive.

The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X have each become Rs 6,000 costlier, while buyers looking at the Scrambler 400 XC or the Thruxton 400 will have to shell out an additional Rs 5,000. The Tracker 400 receives the smallest increase in the range, with its price going up by Rs 3,000.

Price Gap Widens Since The 350cc Transition

When Triumph downsized the engine from 399cc to 350cc in April, prices across the range were reduced following the GST cut. At the time, Bajaj Auto, which manufactures the motorcycles in India, had also absorbed a part of the increased production costs to keep prices competitive.

However, after two successive price revisions, first in June and now again, it appears the company can no longer continue absorbing those additional costs. As a result, prices across the entire 350cc lineup have gone up, with some models now costing more than they did before the transition to the smaller-capacity engine.

Absolutely love the bike!

Looks and Performance. Checked out a few bikes like the Duke 250 and the V-Storm. But this was much more refined and the best-looking one in terms of class. Fell in love with this after the test drive and decided I have to get this one. Feels a bit expensive, but you will forget the price tag once you own it. It's been amazing, especially on the highways. It's like a rocket on the right roads. The bike handles well in the city. It gets a bit too hot for long rides, but overall no issues. Gives a mileage of 32-33 kmpl on highways and around 20-25kmpl in the city. Would absolutely recommend this bike. If you love riding regularly and want a bike that's good for daily commuting and for long rides, I highly recommend this bike. People who are generally 5 feet 8 inches and above would be more comfortable, although I have noticed people who are much shorter handle it quite well.Read More

Perfect bike for youngester

Looks like beauty with power. You will feel power when you ride this bike. Vibrations are very low and riding position is also very comfortable. You can easily go for a long drives because of comfortable sitting position. Suspension works very well. I have driven this bike from Patna to new Delhi and felt really comfortable but one minus point I felt is less capacity fuel tank capacity. As the mileage I get is 30 kmpl so If I full the fuel tank then I can go upto 400 kms so to go to Delhi, I had to refuel it for 3 time. I recommend this bike because of its looks the graphics of this bike, the posture of sitting position, the power of this bike, the premium feel of triumph, the quality of triumph, handling of this bike for city as well as long routes. a true scrambler!

I’ve the original 398cc displacement yellow XC what a great bike. Around the city, it is easy to manoeuvre and so tractable. Overtakes are buttery smooth in any gear. Being a single cylinder, highway performance when you’re cruising over 110kmph is a little buzzy especially if you sit at over 7000-7500 rpm. But this is as good as a single cylinder bike gets. Suspension gives you feedback but never lacks absorption. For riders with a short inseam, the saddle height may trouble them but riding tall bikes is a skill which anyone can learn and it just looks so so so pretty.Read More
