Bajaj Bikes New Prices After GST Rate Cut: To Get Cheaper By Up To Rs 15,000!

Every model in the brand’s lineup except the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z and Dominar 400, could become cheaper from September 22

Bajaj Auto has a wide range of bikes catering to various segments. With GST 2.0, the brand has decided to pass on the price benefits directly to the customers. This means that the brand’s entire lineup under 350cc could become a lot cheaper, with the reduction of the GST rate from 28 to 18 percent. However, bikes above 350cc (Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z and Bajaj Dominar 400 in this case) could see an increase in price.

Here we have compiled a list of all the bikes, with their expected prices that will come into effect from September 22, 2025.

The price cut announcement has come as a massive relief for customers who have been planning on getting a new bike, especially this festive season. Bajaj stands to gain from the reduced GST as almost all of its products are under 350cc, except for the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z and the Dominar 400.

The biggest winner in this is the Bajaj Dominar 250, which will soon be as affordable as sporty 160cc bikes like the recently launched KTM 160 Duke and the Yamaha MT-15. This will make it an even more attractive choice for those looking for a sporty cruiser at an affordable price point.

Freedom Lineup

The Bajaj Freedom 125 is the only CNG bike in India. While the GST 2.0 addressed two-wheelers with engine capacity of 350cc and below, and above 350cc, there has been no clear-cut clarification for CNG bikes in particular.

That said, we reckon it will also go down from 28% to 18%, and with this assumption, here’s the price calculation:

The prices of all bikes above 350cc have gone up with GST 2.0 – from 28% GST plus 3% cess to a flat 40% GST. As a result, two of Bajaj’s bikes, the Dominar 400 and the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z will become a lot more expensive.

That said, even with the expected price tag of Rs 2,05,511 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z will still be a fantastic value-for-money bike, and will continue to be the cheapest bike with 40PS of power. However, the high price of the Bajaj Dominar 400 will be hard to justify for those who are looking for a long-distance highway touring bike. This is because most riders would be equally happy with the NS400Z, which could be almost Rs 50,000 more affordable while offering slightly better performance, and still fairly highway-worthy.

Pulsar N250 - Amazing Machine

I chose this bike for it's looks, easy spare parts availability and uniqueness on roads. This is one of the cheapest 250cc out there. It provides almost all the modern technologies like riding modes, Dual-channel ABS, Traction control, Bluetooth navigation, etc. I liked the seating posture and seat height it is very accessible to all types of riders. I like bikes having good low-end torque for effortless city riding and this machine has very good low to mid range torque so these are the reasons I chose this beautiful machine. The overall ride quality is very good. The suspension is not that stiff and you will definitely feel the adrenaline rush due to it's power. This is a very good city machine as well as capable on highways. On highways you can easily cruise at 80-100 km/h without much stress on the engine. I must say that the engine is very refined and smooth. The pickup is great and it has very good midrange performance. I am getting mileage of around 38 km/l which is decent for a 250cc. You can get mileage of 45 on highways if you cruise at a constant speed. The stability of this bike at speeds of 90-100 is decent but I am not sure about the high stability post 120 km/h. You feel the absence of a 6th gear on highways sometimes but the bike manages the gear ratios pretty well. Overall I'll say this bike has got a very punchy and refined engine. The braking is very good and the front brake response is very satisfying you will feel confident while riding this machine. The exhaust sound is very bassy and head-turning. People will definitely notice you. The pillion seat and rear suspension is a bit on stiffer side but it is good for cities. One thing I must mention is it's class-leading led projector headlights. The throw is very amazing and you will feel confidence on highways. No other bike in this segment provides such powerful headlights. So let's come to conclusion Will I recommend this bike I would say if you love bike having great low and mid range torque refined engine then you should definitely go for N250.But if you want a better highway machine having liquid looked technology and better high speed stability then you can look at NS200. Overall both the bikes have their own pros and cons and it all depends on what kind of rider you are and what you want. At last I would say you can buy N250 it will not disappoint. You will love riding it. I hope this review helps you find your perfect ride, Thanks...Read More
