Aprilia has announced to completely absorb the price hike due to the recent GST 2.0 regulations. Aprilia’s 450cc bike lineup includes the Aprilia RS457 and the Tuono 457, both still priced the same as before. Here’s an overview:
Aprilia RS 457
Despite higher taxation under GST 2.0, the Aprilia RS 457 is still priced at Rs 4,35,000 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). The bike would’ve gotten Rs 15,000 more expensive but the brand has decided to absorb the full cost. Additionally, Aprilia is also offering a quickshifter worth Rs 20,500 for free.
Aprilia Tuono 457
Also, the Aprilia Tuono 457, a naked bike that’s based on the RS 457, gets similar benefits. As per our calculations, the Tuono 457 was supposed to be priced at around Rs 4,22,000 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), after the price increase due to GST 2.0. But the brand has announced no price hike, and the bike continues to be priced at Rs 3,95,000 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra).
This decision is a bold step by Aprilia as the bikes are priced pretty well, serving as a great starting point in the journey of moving on to bigger bikes. The two bikes also enjoy the uniqueness of being the only ones in the 450-500cc twin-cylinder segment that are not only fairly affordable, but also reasonably feature-packed.

- tuono 457 ( personal opinion)Stance and appearance. it was expensive but the test ride felt awesome, the engine was punchy but i had concerns about mileage, but the thrill it gives way above all the expenses that occur. I personally use it as daily but my dad uses it sometimes, says he gets little scared due to acceleration. It's a punchy engine making it fun for rides with friends and also a tractable engine for daily runs. It has 2 downsides which, i think must be fixed, the suspension does not feel good (prolly due to Bangalore roads). and brake works good but does not feel good. yes, i would recommend this bike, especially for enthusiasts. its a good daily (except low mileage) and a fun highway bike. I just love to ride it. It fills you with spirit and if there is a feeling i would like others to have its this.Read More
