Aprilia India has revised the pricing of its middleweight naked motorcycle, the Tuono 457. Earlier, the brand had announced that it would absorb all the impact of the GST 2.0 revision, to keep the ex-showroom price the same, which was Rs 3,95,000 (ex-showroom Maharastra). At the time, the brand was also offering a free quickshifter worth Rs 20,500 with the bike. Brands absorbing GST hikes were a temporary measure, as it will not be sustainable in the long run. Hence, the price was bound to go up sooner or later, so it’s not surprising that the Aprilia Tuono 457 has now gotten a lot costlier.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 is now listed at Rs 4,23,894 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) on the official website, making it exactly Rs 28,894 more expensive than before. The magnitude of the hike may come across as shocking for some, but target buyers will not feel it to be a deal-breaking hike as it is the only parallel-twin streetfighter in the 400-500cc segment. Despite the price hike, the Tuono 457 continues to offer a strong overall package. It is powered by a 457cc parallel-twin engine that delivers punchy performance, making it suitable for both city riding and highway touring. The bike also gets modern features such as ride-by-wire, multiple riding modes, traction control, and a 5-inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity. Its sharp design and sporty riding position further add to its appeal.
