In case you missed it, here’s all the commuter two-wheelers from the past month
March 2025 saw a wave of updates in the affordable two-wheeler segment, with leading manufacturers launching new and upgraded models. The latest releases include the TVS Jupiter 110, Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid, Honda Shine 100, and Suzuki’s Burgman and Avenis scooters. Let us get straight into it:
TVS Jupiter 110
TVS Motor Company rolled out the updated variant of the Jupiter 110, with the 113.3cc engine now being OBD-2B-compliant. Power and torque remain unchanged at 8.02PS and 9.2Nm (9.8Nm with electric assistance). It has been priced between Rs 76,691 (ex-showroom), which is a price increase of Rs 2,000. The Jupiter continues with its family-friendly looks and the same feature set.
Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid
India Yamaha Motor launched the 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid, India's first 150cc hybrid motorcycle. It is priced at Rs 1,44,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it exactly Rs 10,000 more expensive than the non-hybrid model. It gets a 149cc engine that makes 12.4PS, 13.3Nm, and is equipped with a five-speed gearbox. The hybrid model gets a Smart Motor Generator (SMG), offering additional torque in acceleration, greater mileage, and quiet start.
Honda Shine 100
Honda Motorcycle And Scooter India (HMSI) launched the 2025 Shine 100, priced at Rs 68,767 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle is now OBD-2B compliant, in line with the new emission norms. It continues to use the same 98.98cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 7.38PS and 8.05Nm, mated to a four-speed gearbox.
Suzuki Burgman Street And Avenis
Suzuki Motor India launched the 2025 Burgman Street and Avenis 125 scooters with an OBD-2B compliant engine. They are still priced the same as before. Both the scooters have the same 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 8.7PS and 10Nm. With these updates, Suzuki’s entire lineup, including the Access 125 and the Gixxer series - is now OBD-2B compliant.

- Great bike but poor seats.For fat tyres, good stability, economic good looking city commuter. Bought in 2020 still using it. Though modified the seat cushion as per usage. Great looking bike since launched till now. I loved the profile at first look. I have the fzs v3 version. It's good overall bike. Bulky body fat tires look great. Seating is average for both pillion and rider. I would put it as a good city commuter. But not made for long rides. If the seats were better it would have been a king. Try the seats and a long drive above 30km first to settle down with this bike. Everything except the seat cushion is great. Yes for city drives definitely recommend for performance safety & mileage. - Worth ConsideringI previously owned a Honda Activa. i just want a jump up from the vehicle. i tried dio but due to vast scooty available in roads. i just tried to find a unique scooter for my daily commute in the city. The comfort was good and can improve the seat quality a bit. Overall the experience from the service centre is nice. I mostly ride both in city and highway commuting daily in the city it is easy to maneuvere and in highway the performance is good. Ya definitely recommend it because of performance packed with great mileage. The suspension is on stiffer side when ride solo but with pillion it is nice to take a small bumps easily. Due to the stiffer suspension the stability is great.Read More
