2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi: Same Price Other Options

From a cruiser to a maxi-scooter and more, here’s everything you can get at the same price range

The 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi is here, and the bike has been updated to meet OBD-2B norms. The bike is now a lot more eco-friendly. It is priced at Rs 1,34,800 (ex-showroom Delhi), which makes it Rs 10,000 more affordable than the Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid, and only Rs 3,600 more expensive than the previous generation Yamaha FZ-S Fi.

Now, if you feel that it’s a bit too expensive for what at the end of the day is a 150cc motorcycle, then here’s a list of all bikes and scooters you can consider in the same price range.

Bajaj Avenger 220

Price: Rs 1,43,373 (Street variant, ex-showroom, Delhi)

If you’re someone who is a cruiser enthusiast and are looking for something with a proper American cruiser look, then the Bajaj Avenger 220 is the bike for you. The Avenger 220, is powered by a 220cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder motor which outputs 19.03PS and 17.55Nm.

The Avenger 220 is offered in two variants. If you’re someone who is looking for a touring friendly cruiser then you can go for the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220. It gets a tall windscreen, a chrome highlight on the tank and has a more premium feel overall. However, it features spoke wheels with tubed tyres, which may not be convenient in case of a puncture.

For riders who are looking for a more city-oriented cruiser which can provide a comfortable riding experience, then the Avenger 220 Street is a good choice. The bike is a bit more barebones with a lower handlebar, and misses out on touring accessories like the windscreen but gets alloy wheels. Here’s a breakdown the prices of both:

Model

Price (ex-showroom Delhi)

Bajaj Avenger 220 Street

Rs  1,43,373

Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise

Rs 1,46,893

TVS Ronin Base Lightning Black

Price: Rs 1,35,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The TVS Ronin is another option you can look into, and even though its design is unique, and takes inspiration from a wide genre of motorcycles, it can still be categorised as a roadster. With snazzy colour schemes and retro-ish design, the bike just manages to stand out in the crowd.

Powering the Ronin is a 225.9cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine which outputs 20.4PS and 19.93Nm. But what really makes the bike’s performance great for city riding is the TVS Glide-Through-Technology or GTT.

This is a low-RPM assist function which allows the bike to cruise through traffic at lower speeds without stalling. This means that the rider will be able to ride in slow moving traffic without having to constantly work the throttle and clutch. More importantly, the engine is also tractable enough to allow you to ride at low speeds on higher gears. The Ronin is a choice worth considering if you want a feature-packed roadster which can handle your city commutes with ease.

Yamaha Aerox 155

Price: Rs 1,50,130 (ex-showroom Delhi)

Power combined with practicality is what a maxi-scooter promises. It is the perfect middle-ground between a motorcycle in terms of performance and a scooter in terms of practicality. The Yamaha Aerox is currently a very good option in this segment.

It is powered by a Yamaha R15-derived 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which outputs 15PS and 13.9Nm. The engine also features Yamaha’s Variable-Valve-Actuation (VVA) technology, which ensures a good balance of low-end grunt and top-end drive. Along with this, the scooter also gets traction control adding an additional layer of safety when riding over slippery surfaces.

Bajaj Pulsar NS160 (Streetfighter)

Price: 1,48,813 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The Yamaha FZ-S Fi is a simple commuter, but sometimes you need a bit more power and performance. In this case, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 stands out as an affordable streetfighter which is able to offer just that.

The bike is powered by a 160cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder motor which outputs 17.2PS and 14.6Nm. The bike has also been updated with an inverted fork and modern features like a digital console with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The bike’s strongest point is outright performance, and at this price point the Pulsar NS160 is the best option to consider if you want a sporty 160cc bike.

Ola S1 Pro Plus 4kWh (Electric Scooter)

Price: 1,48,999 (Ex-Showroom)

So far all the options listed here have been conventional petrol powered bikes and scooters. But if you’re someone who wants to look into an electric vehicle then the Ola S1 Pro Plus is an option worth considering.

The S1 Pro Plus is now the top-spec offering from Ola Electric, and has now replaced the Ola S1 Pro with the Gen 3 update. The scooter is powered by a 4kWh battery pack and offers a claimed range of 242km. The scooter also has a claimed top speed of 128kmph which is quite impressive.

Good bike for youngsters

Good handling and medium breaking, medium performance for short time city and highway riding, good sharp stylish looking naked bike, good road presence, low service charge with medium mileage 30 to 40 kmpl. Long ride comfort is not good after 100km. Wrist pain and shoulder pain, good handling bike. It's give you confidence to flicker very easily. Front break is good stopping power but too much abs kicking problem, rear brake is not good, no stopping power. Top speed after 2nd service 124 highest, mileage not that good 40 km after simple riding. If you ride aggressively, mileage can drop upto 30-25 kmpl. Can recommend this bike to the youngsters who go to college and those who want to explore many places on bike. Short time riding and some time aggressive riding and those who want naked sports bike in low cc and low service charge bike, this is good for them.Read More
