Overview

The Avenger 220 Street is a cruiser style bike from Bajaj Auto. It comes with comfortable ergonomics, and a powerful 220cc engine, same as the Pulsar 220F. On June 2, 2026 Bajaj launched the 2026 Avenger 220 Street in India.
Design

The 220 Street comes with a proper cruiser bike stance, with a long wheelbase, low-seat height, and a lower handlebar when compared to the 220 Cruise. The main design highlights are the minimalistic looking metal fuel tank, stepped single-piece seat, all-black engine covers, wheels, and suspension. Unlike the 220 Cruise, the 220 Street focuses more on looking slightly sporty.
It is available in two colour options: Ebony Black, and Cocktail Wine Red. We personally like the red shade more, as it gives the bike a slightly sporty feel.
Features

Feature wise, the Avenger 220 Street is quite a basic motorcycle. It gets a single channel ABS, and still misses out on a rear disc brake setup. The bike still uses halogen lights all-around, except for the neatly integrated LED DRL that sits below the headlight.
It gets an LCD console that shows all the basic information like speed, trip information, fuel gauge and more. There’s no connectivity even as an option.
Riding Posture & Comfort
Rider Comfort
The Avenger 220 Street should be quite a comfortable bike for the rider, as it comes with a lower single-piece handlebar when compared to the mini-Ape hanger-like ones on the Avenger 220 Cruise. It also gets forward set footpegs. Along with this, the bike comes with a single-piece, stepped seat that appears to be quite accommodating, and should be quite comfortable for short commutes or long trips.
Pillion Comfort
The pillion comfort on the Avenger 220 Street also should be good for commutes as it appears to be spacious enough. That said, it doesn’t get the cushioned pillion backrest like the 220 Cruise, so if you frequently ride on the highways, you might want to consider the Cruise variant for better comfort. Also, the footpegs sit a little closer to the seat, so taller pillions could feel a bit cramped.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
The Avenger 220 Street comes with a 220cc air and oil-cooled engine that makes 19.03PS at 8,500rpm and 17.55Nm at 7,000rpm. It comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
City And Highway Performance
It should provide good city rideability along with more than enough grunt for the highway.
Handling & Ride Quality
Brakes
The bike gets a 280mm front disc brake setup, along with a 130mm rear drum brake. It should provide decent stopping power, but for a 220cc bike in 2026, it should have had a rear disc brake.
Handling
The Avenger 220 Street comes with a long wheelbase of 1,490mm, which should make it stable at higher speeds out on the highways. That said, the cruiser format should affect its overall handling and agility a bit, so don’t expect it to be easy to snake through traffic. It runs on a 17-inch front and a 15-inch rear alloy wheel setup, with a 90-section front and a 130-section rear tyre.
Ride Quality
The bike gets conventional telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers, which should provide a decent ride quality for both city and highway usage.
Rivals To Consider

The Bajaj Avenger 220 Street competes with the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, its closest cruiser alternative. That said, the Meteor is more powerful and more feature-packed, not to mention a lot more expensive.
Pros & Cons
Good Things
- Gets a reasonably powerful 220cc engine
- Cruiser fans will love the laidback looks
- Very comfortable ergonomics, best suited for long rides on smooth roads
Could Be Better
- The design is quite old now and needs a refresh
- Still gets halogen lights
- No rear disc brake

- I’ve been using the BajajI’ve been using the Bajaj Avenger Street 220 (STD) for a while now, and I’d like to share my honest opinion based on my riding experience. The first thing that caught my attention is its stylish street cruiser look. The low-slung design, matte black finish, and wide handlebars really give it a powerful road presence. It feels like a big bike but comes at a price that’s still affordable. In terms of comfort, it’s honestly one of the most relaxing bikes I’ve ridden. The riding posture is laid-back, and the seat is broad, making long rides smooth and enjoyable. It doesn’t strain your back even on longer routes. The 220cc engine delivers a smooth and punchy performance. Whether I’m cruising in the city or hitting the highway, the power is enough for my needs. It pulls well even with a pillion and has a good pickup.Read More9 5

My friend bought this bike 1 year ago he is good at taking care of the bike that's why there is no issue thanks.Read More

- Bajaj has equipped the AvengerBajaj has equipped the Avenger Street with a circular halogen headlight with LED DRL, a small cowl (as opposed to a large flyscreen in the cruiser variant) up front, a black alloy grab rail instead of a chrome pillion backrest, and a single-pod digital instrument cluster. That said, there’s no smartphone connectivity.Read More2

- Awesome PerformanceThe comfort is on another level, this bike is the most comfortable, and highly recommended for long routes. Performance is also good. If you're not very tall, this is the perfect choice. It requires very little maintenance, and the average is pretty good. I’d rate it 5 stars.Read More
- Avenger 220 street was a great choiceBajaj Avenger 220 street was a great choice, My affection for exemplary cruisers is palpable, and I will say it has been a remarkable excursion. It is a cruiser style bike appropriate for loose cruising in the city and periodic parkway rides. It is fueled by a 220cc, single-chamber. The grasp of this bike is extremely light, the gearbox is exceptionally smooth, the seating position is truly agreeable and the suspension is great; likewise, on the awful street, it has great stability.Read More
