2025 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Leaked Ahead Of Launch, Gets Cruise Control And Navigation

The headlight has been borrowed from the Xtreme 250R and cruise control from the Glamour X 125

Quick News Highlights:

  • Updated 2025 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V spotted at dealer event

  • New features include cruise control, colour-LCD cluster, and headlight

  • Styling refreshed, engine and hardware likely unchanged

Hero reportedly showcased what looks to be the 2025 Xtreme 160R 4V at a dealer event recently. This hints at an official launch soon, probably around Dusshera time. While its overall profile stays familiar, the new variant comes with a slightly sharper design, updated graphics, and most importantly – new features.

What’s New?

The most notable feature additions to the Xtreme 160R 4V are the cruise control (including the button) and colour LCD console – borrowed from the recently launched Hero Glamour X 125. The screen adds Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and phone alerts – this's the first time the bike gets these.

Even though the overall design is similar to the old bike, it gets slight tweaks in the form of a new headlight that’s shared with the Hero Xtreme 250R, larger fuel tank side extensions, a flatter single-piece seat, new colours and stickering.

We think the brand could offer these features in a new top variant, most probably the Combat Edition – given the Grey and Neon Yellow colour scheme of the showcased bike. This’s in line with what the company has done with the Hero Karizma XMR 210 and Xoom 110.

What’s The Same?

The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V will likely remain mechanically unchanged. It will carry forward the 163.2cc, single-cylinder, air-and-oil cooled engine that makes 16.9PS, 14.6 Nm, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Even the chassis, handlebar, swingarm, gold colour inverted fork, pre-load adjustable mono-shock, and disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS – will probably stay the same.

Expected Price

The Xtreme 160R with the new features is expected to be priced at around Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). For perspective, the current-gen top variant of this Hero bike costs Rs 1,29,615 after price deduction due to GST 2.0.

BikeDekho Says

The Xtreme 160R feels a little left-out lately, considering that TVS Apache RTR 160 4V recently got updated with a TFT screen, and the Bajaj Pulsar range has been consistently out-selling their competition due to having 3 bikes in the same space (150, N160, and NS160). By bringing in segment-first features like cruise control, Hero aims to give the Xtreme an edge over rivals in the sporty 150-160cc commuter segment.
