Both motorcycles get mild design updates

  • The CFMoto 650NK and 400 NK feature redesigned tank extensions and front fender.
  • The powertrain looks unchanged and is likely to produce the same output figures as the current-gen models.
  • Expect CFMoto to unveil the bikes at this year’s EICMA show.

The 2020 iterations of the CFMoto 400NK and 650NK have been spotted. Both the bikes appear to have undergone only a mild facelift. The most notable change is the redesigned tank extensions, which look sharper than before in both the bikes, as well as the front fender.

The 400NK’s headlight looks different from the current model with the indicators moved further up. On the other hand, the headlight has remained unchanged in the 2020 650NK but the instrument cluster looks like a TFT unit. It is likely to use the 650GT’s console but perhaps with a redesigned layout to differentiate the two. Both bikes get wider and sleeker rear-view mirrors and a slightly redesigned licence plate holder as well. The smaller naked gets funky colour schemes whereas the 650NK gets a more subtle look.

Sadly though, the rest of the motorcycle’s bodywork seems to be unchanged. Even the powertrain seems the same as the current-gen bikes. However, expect CFMoto to update the bikes’ hearts with Euro 5 compliance. Consequently, we wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a small drop in the output figures. For reference, the current 400NK makes 42PS and 35.4Nm whereas the 650NK produces 61.2PS and 56Nm.

Expect CFMoto to unveil the bikes at this year’s EICMA show. The brand is also likely to launch these 2020 bikes early next year, along with a couple more whose details can be found here. Expect the 2020 650NK to cost around Rs 15,000 over the current model, which costs Rs 3.99 lakh. As for the 400NK, it is likely to cost around Rs 3.2 lakh (all prices ex-showroom India).
