- Expect it to make the same amount of power and torque as the BS6 YZF-R15 Version 3.0.
Yahama will launch the BS6-compliant iteration of the MT-15 in February next year. The Japanese bikemaker unveiled the motorcycle at the launch of the new Fascino 125 Fi. While Yamaha hasn’t revealed the price yet, it is likely to command a premium of about Rs 4,000 over the current BS4 model, which costs Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The BS6-compliant version comes with a new black and white dual-tone colour scheme called ‘Ice Fluo-Vermillion’. It also gets red alloy wheels to enhance the sporty appeal of the bike. The Japanese brand has not revealed the specifications of the motorcycle but it is likely to share the same engine as the BS6 Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0. This motor makes 18.6PS at 10,000rpm and 14.1Nm at 8500rpm, which is 0.7PS and 0.6Nm less than its BS4 counterpart. That said, the final drive is tweaked for better acceleration, so the dynamics of the motorcycle may not be exactly the same as the BS6 R15 V3.
Additionally, the BS6 compliant version also gets a side-stand cut-off feature and a standard radial rear tyre with stronger sidewalls. This ensures better confidence while cornering compared to traditional rubber. Apart from these changes, the bike remains the same as the BS4 model. It retains the telescopic front fork, rear monoshock setup, along with the 282mm front and 220mm rear disc with standard single-channel ABS. When launched, the BS6 MT-15 will compete against the KTM 125 Duke and the BS6-compliant TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

This bike looks stunning and I have added extra loadings worth 5k on it like crash guards grab rail etc. This bike gives around 50kmpl mileage and when you want performance from it, it behaves like a 200cc bike with the VVA tech of yamaha. Overall this bike always brings smile to the rider's face. Maintenance cost is also low.

Because i I see the looks of the bike and Yamaha engine is very reliable and refined, and the mileage of the bike is priceless, and the power is also good I choose this bike because I am in college in 2021. I driving sis 2021 to 2025, feel very easy to maintain very less maintenance and cost service around 1100 with agency. Very easy to handle and stability is very good on off-road or normal village and city Road is very good mileage of this motorcycle because it has the engine of 155 cc and the power is also very good I am also using this why I am driving. This bike 1.60,00,000 kilometre and I am very impressed with this machine service is very minimal.
