Hero
Hero will launch a new two-wheeler on August 19, most-likely be the 2025 Hero Glamour XTEC 2.0 - since its production mules have already been spotted. It is expected to have cruise control, ride-by-wire throttle, riding modes, and a 5-inch LCD console with smartphone connectivity: all segment-first features.
Towards the end of the year, the brand may also update the Xtreme 125R. While the mechanical package is expected to remain familiar, it could gain a TFT console and minor cosmetic tweaks to keep it fresh against the recently launched Honda CB125 Hornet.
The Hero Xoom 160 has already been launched but is still awaiting its first rides and deliveries - which could possibly happen during the festive season. There’s also speculation about Hero updating the Xtreme 160R and its 4V variant with TFT displays.
TVS NTorq 150
On September 1, TVS will debut the Ntorq 150. Styled along the lines of the Ntorq 125, the 150cc version is expected to look bigger and meaner. It will have projector LED headlamps, a TFT console, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation. The engine is likely to produce between 12-14PS, putting it up against the Yamaha Aerox 155, Hero Xoom 160, and Aprilia SR 175.

The KTM RC 160 will be based on the same platform as the KTM 160 Duke. However, it will be more expensive than the baby Duke, which is priced at Rs 1,84,998 (ex-showroom). The faired bike will have the same motor: a 164.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 19PS and 15.5Nm.
Shared underpinnings between the two 160s will be the WP suspension, a 5-inch LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity and switchable ABS at the rear. Positioned to challenge the Yamaha R15 V4, The RC 160 will have an aggressive styling like the larger RC models.
Suzuki
The Suzuki Gixxer 150 and the Gixxer SF 150 are long due for updates. They haven’t been refreshed, apart from the mandatory emission compliance. If Suzuki were to keep up with the fast-growing competition, it will have to update the Gixxer 150 twins really soon - hopefully this year. The least Suzuki can do is update the Gixxer 150 and Gixxer SF 150 with new colours and the TFT console the Access 125 recently got.
