Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover vs F77 SuperStreet: Top 5 Differences Compared

The X-47 offers almost similar performance, range and more features for about Rs 50k less, but there’s a catch!

Bengaluru based EV manufacturer, Ultraviolette Automotive recently launched the X-47 Crossover in India which is essentially an F77 that’s been changed to tackle bad roads as well as the highways. It uses the same battery pack and motor as the F77, but comes in a slightly different state of  tune, and also gets some segment first features as well. Here are the top differences between the cheapest variants of the X-47 Crossover and the streetfighter version of the F77, the F77 SuperStreet.

  • Design

  • The Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover looks a lot different from the F77 SuperStreet. The F77 has a sharp and sporty design, and looks fairly compact with most of the visual mass centered around the battery pack. On the other hand, the X-47 borrows design elements from adventure motorcycles, hence it gets a front beak, bigger windscreen, knuckle guards, and higher ground clearance. It also gets block pattern tyres that are more suited for mixed roads, unlike the F77 SuperStreet’s road-focused setup. The handlebar on the X-47 is also much taller, resulting in an upright riding stance, whereas the handlebar in the F77 SuperStreet is a bit lower, for a slightly sportier posture.

The base variants of the Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover and the F77 SuperStreet use the same motor and battery pack options. That said, the motor has been tuned differently in the X-47 to suit its go-anywhere nature. Interestingly, as far as the performance figures are concerned, both are fairly comparable with just some minor differences here and there. Even though the X-47 has slightly lower top speed, the windshield should help in minimising the wind blasts at triple-digit speeds. This along with the more comfortable riding posture should ensure better comfort on long distance rides.

  • Underpinnings

  • The Ultraviolette F77 SuperStreet and X-47 Crossover differ in terms of the underpinnings, which are made to suit different riding styles of these e-bikes. The F77 SuperStreet as well as the X-47 use a steel trellis frame, but the X-47 gets a new aluminium subframe that has been designed to easily secure luggages.

Both bikes run on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, but the X-47comes with block pattern MRF tyres, while the F77 comes with road-biased rubber. The suspension on the F77 SuperStreet has been tuned for agile handling, primarily on the road, whereas the X47 uses a differently tuned inverted fork and monoshock. Interestingly, both bikes get a preload adjustability at both ends. While the wheel travel for the SuperStreet hasn’t been given, we reckon it’s less than the X-47’s 170mm travel at both ends. This is especially considering the generous ground clearance of 200mm that the X-47 has, as opposed to 160mm (still impressive) on the F77 SuperStreet.

The X-47 also gets a slightly longer wheelbase at 1385mm when compared to the F77’s 1,340mm wheelbase which should ensure better straightline stability at higher speeds.  The X-47 also comes with a taller seat height of 820mm, which is 20mm higher than that on the F77.

  • Features

  • The Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover and F77 SuperStreet differ significantly in features, catering to distinct riding experiences. The X-47 Crossover features Ultraviolette’s HyperSense radar system (rear only), offering blind spot detection, lane change assist, rear collision warning, and overtake alerts. The X-47 is the first made-in-India motorcycle to have radar technology, which is not present on the F77.

Both bikes also include a 5-inch TFT display, 4 levels of traction control, dual-channel ABS, and 9 levels of regenerative braking on the X-47 and 10 levels on the F77. Other than this, both bikes offer 3 ride modes: Glide, Combat, and Ballistic, but expect their tuning to be different.

  • Price & Verdict

  • The Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover is about half a lakh rupees less than the F77 SuperStreet, but that’s only if you consider its introductory price for the first 1,000 customers, which is Rs 2.49 lakh. The regular price is Rs 2.74 lakh. In comparison, the F77 SuperStreet is a bit more expensive, starting at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the X-47 a more accessible option for riders looking for advanced features and crossover styling, while the F77 remains a higher-end choice focused on sporty performance.

If you are looking for a bike that balances everyday usability with adventure-ready features, the X-47 Crossover is the better choice. It offers higher ground clearance, comfortable upright ergonomics, advanced radar-based safety systems all at a lower price than the F77 SuperStreet.  On the other hand, if your priority is sporty performance, sharp handling, decent set of features - all wrapped in a sporty (but still comfortable) streetfighter package, then the F77 SuperStreet will appeal to you.

    V good bike

Premium build, starts from 2.5 to 4 lakh. Price increase with warranty and range. I chose for few reasons 1) hill control 2) regent breaking 3) aesthetics) Premium build 4) Indian start up 5) very low centre of gravity 6) sticks to road due to heavy weight and traction control. Very comfortable, bit costly but worth it, service is good. They visit home to serve by taking 10 rs per km. Low maintenance, shockers are very good, load of safety features, hill hold , very practical feature, park assist, regent breaks, traction control. Daily ride is minimum 30 km, saves petrol if you ride more, home charging facility. For touring one way 170 km is ok, to charge and return back. Very economical, though initial investment is more, but if you ride heavily you will find it cheap in long run. Warranty for recon plus ( rs 4 lakh) goes to 8 lakh km or 8 years by paying 45000 extra, Without that its 5 year or 5 lakh km.Read More
