Kawasaki Ninja 500, Versys 650, Ninja 650 And More: Prices Hiked After GST Increase - Compare Now
With GST 2.0, the brand’s 400-650cc bikes have now become up to Rs 80,000 more expensive!
Kawasaki India’s bikes, particularly the ones between 400 and 650cc have seen an increase in price up to Rs 80,000. Under the new tax laws, the GST on two-wheelers above 350cc has gone up from 31 percent (28% GST + 3% cess) to 40 percent. Check old vs new GST Prices in the tables below:

The increase in prices with GST 2.0 has made the Kawasaki Ninja 500 a lot more expensive and less competitive compared to the Aprilia RS457.
The RS457 comes with more modern features than the Ninja and will also likely be over Rs 1 lakh cheaper (by our internal calculations, as the new pricing is yet to be announced).

In the middle-weight supersport segment, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is the most powerful model, with 124PS and 69Nm. It is also Kawasaki’s only bike in this segment with an inline four-cylinder engine as the rest of the bikes are all parallel-twins.
It is aimed at riders who are looking for the ultimate track weapon that isn’t as costly as litre-class track bikes. Although the price increase of Rs 80,000 is a letdown, it is still manageable - especially to its target buyers. The same can be said to Kawasaki’s other 650cc bikes too, as they are more of a luxury purchase rather than a necessity.
