    • The BS6-compliant Jawa and Jawa 42 make 0.86PS and 0.95Nm less than their BS4 counterparts.
    • Kerb weight has gone up by 2kg.
    • The BS6 compliant iterations of the two bikes were launched in March 2020.

The Jawa BS6 and the Jawa Forty Two BS6 were launched back in March 2020, but the Czech brand has revealed the specifications of the motorcycles only now. As expected, going green has made a slight impact on the output figures. It’s pretty much a given that the additional emission-restricting components will increase the weight of the motorcycles, and so the kerb weight has gone up by 2kg. The two bikes now tip the scales at 172kg kerb.

The 293cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that both the bikes employ was already BS6-ready. But now, the BS6-compliant version of the engine in both the bikes churns out 26.51PS and 27.05Nm. That’s a reduction of 0.86PS and 0.95Nm compared to the BS4-compliant models. The engine works in conjunction with the same 6-speed transmission as the BS4 bikes.

Apart from the difference in the output figures and the kerb weight, the rest of the motorcycles have remained unchanged. Once we get our hands on the BS6 bike, we’ll have a better idea whether these changes really affect the bike's dynamics in the real world. If you’re wondering how much the BS6-compliant Jawa and the Jawa Fourty Two costs, here’s a detailed price list:

The bike was good but the service is not good as they say everything as manufacturing defect. But has a great torque. The best thing for the bike is the seating comfortablity which is top notch. Also the bike doesn't heat up as some other 350cc bikes. Coming to mileage, it is just 24-27Kmpl which is not I expected.
