Honda Activa 110 vs Hero Destini Prime: Much Better Than The Destini 110?
The Destini Prime makes for a good case above the Activa 110

The Honda Activa 110 has long been a best-seller in this segment but of late, a lot of scooters have proven to be better than the Activa. And to see if it joins that list, today we have the Hero Destini Prime, a scooter that’s quite underrated. Here’s how the Hero scooter holds its own against the Honda scooter:

This is a battle that the Destini Prime wins almost immediately. The difference between their base prices is a bit under Rs 2,000. But as you go up the ladder, the gap keeps increasing.
-
If you want the Smart Honda scooter after watching its TV advertisement, it’ll cost you almost Rs 16,500 more than the Destini Prime’s variant
-
The Activa has seen multiple price hikes over the years, due to which it is not the value for money scooter it once used to be. Yes, it’s not too expensive but it’s not priced very competitively either
-
So to sum up this category, it’s the Hero Destini Prime that wins the battle

Easy and approachable, that’s how all scooters should be and it’s the same with these 2 as well. Anyone in the family will be able to get on it and simply ride away, that’s how easy both scooters are
-
Dimensions wise, both scooters are identical and none of the two will feel too much. The one major difference is that the Destini Prime weighs a solid 9kg heavier than the Activa 110 and that difference will be felt the most at ultra low speeds
-
But once you pick up the pace, both scooters will feel just as light as each other. Cutting through the city traffic even in peak hours is rather easy for these scooters don’t take a lot of effort to change directions and lanes
-
Designs wise, both look quite familiar, something we’ve seen a lot over the years, since both scooters haven’t really received a visual overhaul in a while. That said, of the 2, the Destini Prime does look like the slightly more modern looking scooter
Features & Safety

Key Features |
|
|

Hero Destini Prime |
|
|
-
Now’s when the Destini Prime’s affordable price tag makes sense, for the scooter doesn't really have a lot of features. In fact, in a digital world, the scooter doesn’t get a fully digital console even as optional
-
While the Activa 110 does get an optional TFT console on the top variant, even it doesn’t really get a whole host of features with that fancier looking console
-
So while both scooters aren’t the most feature-loaded, the Activa 110 is the scooter that edges ahead because of the TFT console

10.38Nm at 5500rpm |
-
The Destini Prime’s bigger engine’s advantage is visible here, for the scooter makes more power and torque at the same or lower revs. And that means the responsiveness of the Destini’s engine is a bit more than the Activa
-
Right off the line, the Hero scooter accelerates with a bit more urgency than the Activa and that’s something we quite like
-
That said, where the Activa claws back is with its refinement. The Honda scooter feels like the smoother of the 2 and if that’s what you’re chasing, not many scooters are as good as the Activa in this segment
-
In terms of mileage, both scooters should return anywhere between 45-55kmpl
Verdict
This is again a close one, for they’re both simple scooters that don’t complicate matters by throwing tons of features in your face. If you’re on a very tight budget, the Hero Destini Prime, with its lower price will make a bit more sense, if you’re okay with the lack of features. But if you want the slightly more premium feeling while retaining the Activa tag, you could consider the Honda scooter instead.
That said, if you want a more premium experience, be it in terms of a more fun engine, more features or even just better looks, there are other better 110cc scooters in the market that you should look at instead of these 2 rather simple scooters.
User Reviews
I LOVE THIS BIKEThe engine runs soft for many year. Service cost is low and spare part can available easily anywhere. Comes with comfortable seat and large floor board and it has very best mileage and it holds a strong resale value. Low end torque makes it easy to pull from anywhere. It stands still in heavy traffic. It comes with telescopic front suspension and it handles rough patches better than older models through the ride can still feels firm on bad roads. Smooth engine. 109.51cc engine runs quitly and handles stop and go city traffic well. It holds strong market trust and resale value in India. The sturdy metal construction offers a solid and durable feel.Read More
best scoter in this priceI used this scooter for 10k kilometres and hear me out, it's acceleration is insane but don't see the Ntorq because see the price and the mileage is 50kmpl when I rode it gently and 42 when I rode it fully rough and its top speed is 100 if wind blast is not too much, otherwise 80-90 is normal and it's breaking isn't the best but still good at this price. The sound is insane but not like Ntorq but still very soothing and smooth. Mild vibrations when it's too hot and give it time to warm up and ride it freely.Read More
