The Activa 110 has three variants, while the Activa 125 has two. We help you choose what suits your needs better

The Honda Activa range has been known for its reliability, hassle-free ownership experience, and decent utility. It includes the Activa 110 and the Activa 125; the former has been the best-selling scooter for more than a decade now, while the latter is one of the best-sellers in the 125cc segment. We compared the two Activas to find out the differences between them:

    Design

The Honda Activa 110’s design has remained the same for quite a while now – so much so that you can still see some similarities with the first Activa launched in India. It has a very eye-pleasing design that isn’t flashy and blends in easily – perfect for a family scooter. The scooter has slightly curved body panels that make it look easy to look at. The scooter’s headlamp has a typical family scooter design, with indicators on either side, giving it a pleasant look.

The Activa 125 was redesigned when it received its last update in December 2024 The scooter gets a boxy headlamp with a chrome garnish above it that looks quite premium. The body panels are bulky and give the scooter a muscular look. The front apron of the scooter got a slight redesign with enlarged indicators and a chrome insert between them that looks nice.

    Variants And Colour Schemes

The Honda Activa 110 is sold in three variants: STD (Standard), DLX (Deluxe) and H-Smart. It is offered in 6 colour options: Pearl Precious White, Decent Blue Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Mat Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue.

The Activa 125 is sold in two variants: DLX and H-Smart. This has 6 colour schemes: Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Axis Gray Metallic, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Siren Blue, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Precious White.

    Engine

    The Honda Activa 110 is powered by a 109.51cc, single-cylinder engine. It produces 7.99PS at 8,000rpm and 9.05Nm at 5,500rpm. The Activa 125 is powered by a 123.92cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which makes 8.4PS at 6,500rpm and 10.5Nm at 5,000rpm.

Both the scooters are OBD-2B compliant now and come with a silent starter. Both of these scooters also get an idle stop-start system that turns off the scooter’s engine when the scooter is stopped and idling for a while. The engine restarts and switches on again when you twist the throttle while pulling either of the brakes.

    Underpinnings

The Activa 110 gets a telescopic fork and a 3-step preload-adjustable single-sided shock absorber. It rolls on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels on the top and mid variant, while the base variant gets steel rims instead. All the variants have 90-section tubeless tyres. The scooter weighs 106kg kerb in STD and DLX variants, and 105kg in H-Smart variant. It has a seat height of 764mm, ground clearance of 162mm and a 5.3-litre fuel tank. It gets the 130mm drum brakes at both ends with CBS (Combined Braking System).

The Honda Activa 125 gets a telescopic fork and a 3-step preload-adjustable single-sided hydraulic shock absorber instead of the spring unit on the Activa 110. This too gets a 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear alloy wheel setup with 90-section tubeless tyres. The scooter has a seat height of 765mm (just 1mm more than the Activa 110), a ground clearance of 162mm and gets the same 5.3-litre fuel tank. The Activa 125’s DLX variant weighs 107kg while the H-smart is a bit lighter at 106kg. The Activa 125 has a 190mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum unit with CBS.

    Features

The Activa 110 has an analogue console for the base variant, whereas its mid and top variants get a 4.2-inch TFT console. The same TFT console is standard on all variants of the Activa 125.

The scooter variants with the digital display get a bunch of modern features like an eco indicator, a real-time mileage indicator, average fuel economy, remaining range (Distance To Empty), a service due indicator, and an automatically adjustable backlight. The USB Type-C charging port on the front apron is standard on the mid and top variants of the Activa 110 (optional on the base), and on all variants of the Activa 125.

Features like smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, keyless ignition, Smart Unlock (that unlocks the scooter automatically when it detects the rider with the key close to it), Smart Find (helps you find the scooter in crowded parking areas by flashing indicators repeatedly), and an anti-theft system called ‘Smart Safe’, are exclusive to the H-Smart variants of the Activa 110 and the 125.

      Best high performance scooter
Smooth engine & performance: Honda ka technology engine bohot quiet aur smooth hai. Initial pickup accha hai aur city traffic me chalana bohot aasan hai. Behtaren Mileage: Daily ride me 45–52 kmpl tak ka mileage aaram se mil jata hai, jo city commute ke hisaab se kaafi budget-friendly hai. Build quality & safety: Full metal body hone ki wajah se scooter bohot sturdy aur durable lagta hai. Telescopic suspension ke kaaran kharab sadkon par bhi accha comfort milta hai.

      Good performance
Maine yeh bike iske stylish looks aur family-friendly comfort ke liye chuni hai. Yeh acha mileage deti hai aur highways par kaafi smooth chalti hai. City rides mein suspension thoda stiff lagta hai, par iski overall reliability isse perfect banati hai. Ride ab tak kamaal ki rahi hai. Iska comfort aur handling behad zabardast hai, jisse highway par tez speed mein chalana aasan ho jata hai. Mileage bhi kaafi acha hai. Bas bumpy city roads par suspension thoda stiff lagta hai. Highly recommend! Yeh un logon ke liye perfect hai jo daily commute ke sath weekend highway rides pasand karte hain. Iske superb mileage, stylish looks aur rock-solid reliability ke liye ise zaroor khareedein. Bas kharab raston par suspension thoda stiff hai.
