Here’s How Many TVS iQube, Ather 450X And Okinawa E-scooters Were Sold In October
Sales numbers of these electric scooters are almost on par with popular ICE scooters
The doors to publishing multiple brand-specific sales numbers are now open, owing to the rising popularity of electric scooters in India. This is a stark contrast from a year ago where one report would suffice to cover sales numbers for the entire segment. For example, Ola Electric clocked sales of 20,000 units in the month of October, which is the highest ever in the Indian electric two-wheeler segment.

Okinawa has recorded its best ever sales of 17,531 units in October, despite losing its capacity to offer FAME II subsidies for its lineups. The company was under a government investigation over localisation of its e-scooters since October, and the fact that it has still achieved this sales figure is impressive.
Ather Energy recorded its highest sales in September with 8,862 units, and it came close to this figure in October as well, falling short by just 649 units. The TVS iQube too recorded a sale of 8,103 units in October, which is a massive increase when compared to October 2021, where only 395 units were sold.

While these figures are quite far away from the sales ICE scooters amass, the YoY growth shows the magnitude by which this segment is growing. And with many more exciting upcoming electric scooters and electric bikes are set to join the foray soon, this space is definitely worth watching out for.
