Royal Enfield Hunter 350 vs TVS Ronin: Base Variants Price Comparison
Two roadster, different styling, pricing, engines and more

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin are two motorcycles aimed at riders looking for a stylish, easy-going roadster without spending too much money. However, their approaches are quite different. Royal Enfield Hunter 350: Bigger Engine, Classic Appeal

The base Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is the more traditional motorcycle of the two. It gets Royal Enfield’s 349 cc, single-cylinder engine producing 20.2 PS and 27 Nm, paired with a five-speed gearbox. The engine has a relaxed character and offers a strong low- and mid-range, making it well suited to everyday city riding as well as occasional highway runs. The base variant is available in a single shade called the Factory Black. It gets a gloss black finish on the tank, side-panels, and fenders, all of which does look quite good.

The base version gets spoke wheels, a halogen headlight and a simpler instrument cluster, so it misses some of the premium features offered on higher variants. However, the latest Hunter gets an assist-and-slip clutch across the range, along with revised suspension and a more comfortable seat. It also has a 790 mm seat height, although at around 181 kg (kerb) depending on specification, it is considerably heavier than the Ronin.
TVS Ronin: Lighter, More Modern And Feature-Focused

The base TVS Ronin takes a different approach. Its 225.9 cc, single-cylinder engine produces 20.4 PS and 19.93 Nm, giving it less torque than the Hunter but a similar peak power figure. The motor is paired with a five-speed gearbox and the bike weighs just 159 kg (kerb), making it around 20 kg lighter than the Hunter. The base variant of the Ronin is available in two colour options: Lightning Black and Magma Red, both of these shades suit this roadster minimalistic vibe.

The Ronin also gets an LED headlight, alloy wheels, a 795 mm seat height and 181 mm of ground clearance. The base version uses an inverted fork setup and single-channel ABS, while higher variants dual-channel ABS and more connected features. Its lighter weight and compact dimensions make it the easier bike to manoeuvre in traffic, while the 14-litre fuel tank should give it useful touring range.
BikeDekho Says
If you want a motorcycle that feels more substantial and relaxed, the Hunter 350 is the better choice. Its larger engine has considerably more torque, and it offers the classic Royal Enfield experience along with a more planted feel.
However, the Ronin is the smarter choice for everyday urban use. It is significantly lighter, has better ground clearance, LED lighting and alloy wheels even in the base variant, while also offering similar peak power. So, if your priority is engine character and highway ability, pick the Hunter 350. If you want lightness, practicality and modern hardware, the base Ronin makes more sense.
