KTM 200 Duke

The KTM 200 Duke has a more aggressive design compared to the NS200. It gets a sharp-looking LED headlight with integrated LED DRLs, a slim tank with aggressive tank extensions, and an exposed frame that gives it a sporty look.

It is available in four colour options, including two new colours, Liquid Silver and Slate Grey, along with Electronic Orange and Silver Metallic.

The 200 Duke is powered by a 199.5cc DOHC (dual overhead camshaft), liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The engine makes 25 PS and 19.3 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It was also recently updated with a bidirectional quickshifter for 2026.

In terms of underpinnings, the Duke gets a trellis frame and rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends. It gets a 43 mm WP Apex telescopic fork along with a monoshock, while braking duties are handled by a 320 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. The Duke also gets a 110-section tyre at the front and a 150-section tyre at the rear.

The Duke 200 is equipped with a 5-inch TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and music controls. For 2026, it also gets a ride-by-wire throttle and two ride modes: Rain and Street. In terms of safety features, the KTM bike gets dual-channel ABS, traction control, and a hazard light switch.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200

The Pulsar NS200 gets a familiar design that has been a hallmark of the Pulsar NS series. It gets an LED headlight with integrated LED DRLs, a muscular fuel tank, and clip-on handlebars. Overall, the NS200 looks quite sporty, however, it isn't as aggressive as the 200 Duke.

It is available in three colours: Ebony Black, Pearl Metallic White, and Nardo Grey.

Powering the NS200 is a 199.5cc SOHC (single overhead camshaft), liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 25.5 PS and 18.74 Nm (0.5 PS more and 0.56 Nm less than the 200 Duke). The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, and just like the Duke, it is also equipped with a bidirectional quickshifter.

The big differences between the two bikes lie in their underpinnings. The NS200 gets a steel perimeter frame, a 37 mm telescopic fork, and a monoshock. It rides on 17-inch wheels, with a 300 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear. Another big difference is that the NS200 gets slimmer tyres compared to the 200 Duke, with a 100-section tyre at the front and a 130-section tyre at the rear.

In terms of features, both bikes are pretty evenly matched. The NS200 was also recently updated with a 5-inch TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, as well as call and SMS alerts. The Bajaj bike is also equipped with a ride-by-wire throttle and five ride modes: Rain, Road, Sport, Tour, and Off-road. In terms of safety features, it also gets dual-channel ABS, traction control, and a hazard light switch.

BikeDekho Says

Both the 2026 KTM 200 Duke and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 are quite similarly matched in terms of features on paper. Interestingly, the updated NS200 makes more power than the 200 Duke despite having an SOHC engine.

In the end, your buying decision will come down to your personal preference and budget. The 200 Duke looks sharper and gets better hardware compared to the NS200. However, despite being around Rs 46,000 cheaper, the NS200 has similar features and more power.

Go for the 200 Duke if you want KTM styling and better hardware. However, if you are on a tight budget, the NS200 will provide similar performance and features at a more affordable price.
