Breaking - Keeway K300N And K300R Get More Affordable

The price cut closes the gap the Keeway duo has with its rivals

Keeway has significantly reduced the ex-showroom prices of its single-cylinder naked, the K300N and supersport, K300R, by Rs 30,000 and Rs 55,000 respectively. As a result, the K300N will now retail at Rs 2.55 lakh, while the K300R will be priced at Rs 2.65 lakh. This is the first time the Sino-Hungarian manufacturer has taken such a step, which stems from the bikemaker getting lower import costs for both these models, the benefits of which it is passing onto the consumer.

Starting with the K300N; it now undercuts its closest rival, the BMW G310R by Rs 25,000, as the BMW G 310 R retails at Rs 2.8 lakh. It also slots in at Rs 12,000 cheaper than the Honda CB300R. However, it’s still Rs 19,000 costlier than the KTM 250 Duke’s Rs 2.36 lakh price tag (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

Moving now to the K300R, it’s now priced identically to the TVS Apache RR 310 (entry-level, excluding BTO accessories) and is a massive Rs 51,000 more affordable than the KTM RC 390, which sports a Rs 3.16 lakh sticker. (both prices ex-showroom Delhi)

Save for the prices, though, both bikes remain completely unchanged, with no addition to their visuals or features set. Their 292cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engines, too, continue making an identical 27.8PS and 25Nm.

Summing up, though Keeway has been in India for close to a year, it hadn’t yet made a dent, with the high prices of its models playing spoilsport. This latest price revision, then, somewhat addresses this issue. That said, Keeway still has a long way to go in terms of equipment and features for its models to make a name for themselves.
