BREAKING: All-new Jawa 42 FJ Launched At Rs 1.99 Lakh

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has launched the all-new Jawa 42 FJ in India starting at Rs 1,99,142 (ex-showroom Delhi) which is Rs 26,200 more than the standard Jawa 42. The neo-retro bike comes with sportier looks with a new fuel tank design. It also has a new single-piece seat and dual upswept exhausts.

Jawa 42 FJ Price & Rivals

The all-new Jawa 42 FJ comes in five colour options. The entry-level Aurora Green Matte Spoke starts at Rs 1,99,142, while the alloy variant costs Rs 2,10,142. The Cosmo Blue Matte and Mystique Copper colours are priced at Rs 2,15,142. The range-topping Deep Black Matte Red Clad and Deep Black Matte Black Clad are available for Rs 2,20,142. 

The Jawa 42 FJ rivals the likes of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda H’ness CB350, Honda CB350 RS and the Hero Mavrick 440.

Jawa 42 FJ Engine & Underpinnings

The 2024 Jawa 42 FJ is equipped with the same 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Alpha2 engine from the recently updated Jawa 350. It delivers a peak output of 29.2PS and 29.6Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. For your perspective the standard Jawa 42 gets a smaller 294cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, J-Panther engine making 27.32PS and 26.84Nm which is 1.88PS and 2.76Nm less.

The Jawa 42 FJ gets a double-cradle frame and 1440mm wheelbase. The neo-retro roadster has a telescopic fork and 5-step preload-adjustable twin shocks. Braking is handled by a 320mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard. The bike rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke/alloy wheels, wrapped with 100-section front and 140-section rear tyres. The roadster has a 790mm seat height, 178mm ground clearance and weighs 184kg kerb.

Jawa 42 FJ Features

The Jawa 42 FJ comes fitted with all-LED lighting and features a full-LCD instrument console like the Jawa 42 and 42 Bobber. The display includes the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level, clock and other basic details, but lacks smartphone connectivity. The bike also has a USB charging port and a 12-litre fuel tank.
