Aprilia has unveiled the 2020 RSV4 1000 RR and Tuono 1100 Misano Red limited edition motorcycles featuring a couple of lightweight parts and a new paint livery. Both are limited to 100 units each for US markets only.
The tastefully done livery is inspired by the 1987 GP Aprilia race bike piloted by Loris Reggiani. This livery holds a special place for Aprilia as it was the Italian bikemaker’s first ever Grand Prix win in the 250cc Championship class at the Misano race circuit. Hence, the name. The livery gets fabulous colours with a larger A on the fairing. Apart from the new livery, both bikes get lightweight components in the form of a carbon fibre front fender and a lithium-ion battery. Other than these, the powertrain and underpinnings are the same as the stock RSV4.

Being based on the mid-spec RSV4, the 2020 RSV4 RR Misano edition features a 999.6cc V4 motor instead of the new 1078cc V4 on the top-spec RSV4 Factory. It costs USD 500 (Around Rs 37,000) more than the stock RSV4 RR sold in the US. The motor makes 201PS and 115Nm. On the Tuono Misano edition, you get a 1077cc V4 motor that delivers 175PS and 121Nm. Both get Sachs fully adjustable suspension and Brembo M50 brakes.
The 2020 Aprilia RSV4 RR Misano is priced at USD 17,999 while the Tuono V4 1100 Misano costs USD 15,999. While we won’t be getting either of the Misano edition models in India, we do hope Aprilia brings in the lovely Misano livery on its future India-bound RSV4 and Tuono motorcycles.
