2025 Yezdi Roadster vs Royal Enfield Meteor 350: Specifications Compared

Two retro-modern titans compared

Yezdi recently launched the updated Roadster in India from  Rs 2.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This retro-modern motorcycle sits as the perfect competitor to the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. Here is a full specifications comparison between these two retro motorcycles.

Engine

Yezdi Roadster gets the same engine that powers other motorcycles from Classic Legends. When compared to the Meteor 350, the Yezdi makes a lot more power and torque. Other than this, the Roadster also gets a 6-speed gearbox which should allow for much better highway performance when compared to the Royal Enfield’s 5-speed gearbox. That said, the Meteor 350 may not be as quick as the Yezdi, the J-series engine has been praised for its refinement and strong mid-range grunt. This surely makes the Meteor 350 a fun motorcycle to ride in the city.

Both of these retro-modern motorcycles come with similar frames and suspension setup, but the Meteor 350 gets a much better suspension setup thanks to its cruiser format. It also promises a much better comfort over longer journeys. The overall braking performance of these bikes should be quite even, but if you’re using more front brake, then Yezdi’s larger front disc and smaller front wheel, will have an advantage. The Meteor 350 gets a bigger 19-inch front wheel, which should help in tackling potholes in a much more comfortable manner than the Yezdi.

The wheelbase on the Yezdi is 40mm longer than that on the Royal Enfield, this should result in a better highway stability. However, the Meteor should have the advantage when it comes to handling the motorcycle in day-to-day scenarios as it weighs 4kg less than the Roadster. That said, the Meteor’s much larger fuel tank capacity will give it a much longer range. The Meteor 350 also gets a lower seat height which should make it a good option for short riders.

These retro-modern motorcycles are a bit basic in terms of features, but the Meteor 350 still gets a Tripper navigation that allows for turn-by-turn navigation. This feature should make the Meteor 350 a lot more convenient to ride while touring and daily commutes. The Yezdi Roadster doesn’t have any additional features. It only gets dual channel ABS, USB charger and all-LED lights.

The Yezdi Roadster’s pricing depends on the colour variant one wants to opt for, the base price is still slightly more expensive than the RE. However the top-spec variant of the Meteor costs Rs 6,576 more than that of the Yezdi. Both of these retro-modern motorcycles offer different advantages, the Yezdi is going to be faster, but the Meteor 350 is going to be easy to ride in the traffic. The Yezdi misses out  on features, while the Meteor does come with a Tripper Navigation pod. That said, the Roadster looks a lot sportier, while the Meteor 350 gets proper cruiser styling inspired from the old Thunderbird 350.
