The just spied bike is draped in matte-black with sporty-looking red highlights

[UPDATE: The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been launched in India. To know the pricing, specifications and other details, head to our launch story here.]

  • The 2021 iteration is likely to be launched by the end of this month.
  • Will be powered by the Royal Enfield Meteor 350’s engine.
  • Turn-by-turn navigation is likely to be offered as an accessory fitment.

The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been spied in a launch-ready avatar yet again. Last time, the bike was spotted in green, grey and Stormrider Sand-like colour scheme. But this time around, the retro motorcycle was spotted in a much more subtle all-black colour scheme,  bearing an uncanny resemblance to the Stealth Black colour variant of the current-gen Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Like the Stealth Black variant of its predecessor, this one too gets a matte black colour scheme on the bodywork as well as on the powertrain and underpinnings. However, instead of a twin symmetrical pin-stripe setup in the outgoing model, this one features an offset asymmetrical layout. The side panels also feature the new Classic 350 logo with red highlights. And like the outgoing model the new one also comes with blacked-out alloy wheels with red rim stickers.

The instrument cluster has also been spied, and it looks like the turn-by-turn navigation feature will be offered as an option. The pod will likely be installed in the cavity where the Royal Enfield logo is, right next to the speedometer. The main console houses a digital inset, which is expected to show more details such as real time mileage, tripmeter readings, and fuel level. This will be the first time the Classic 350 gets such an info-laden instrument cluster. The headlamp design has been tweaked and now features a clear lens setup with the iconic chrome surround and headlamp shade. Like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, this one too gets old school dial-type switchgear.

A closer look at the rear also reveals a slightly redesigned saddle stay. Disappointingly, the 2021 model misses out on a sprung rider’s seat setup like the current version. That said, the seats do look like they have improved cushioning. The tail lamp design is also new. That said, the bike still retains the quintessential design that many enthusiasts love.

Expect Royal Enfield to launch the motorcycle by the end of this month. It is likely to command a premium of around Rs 6,000- Rs 9,000 over the current-gen model, which retails from Rs 1,79,782 to Rs 2,06,962 (ex-showroom Delhi), depending on the colour variant and ABS setup. It will go up against the Benelli Imperiale 400, the Honda H'Ness CB350 as well as the Jawa, which recently received a power bump. You can read all about it here.
