Simple Energy recently launched the Simple Wave. It is the brand's first family-focused e-scooter and its price starts from Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom, Bangalore). Convenience Features
The Simple Wave comes with several practical features aimed at making everyday commuting convenient. Depending on the variant, it either gets a 7-inch TFT console or a 5-inch LCD console. Both the displays have Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and call/SMS alerts, allowing riders to access key information on the go.
The scooter gets 70 litres of boot storage, which is more than enough for everyday riding. The scooter gets a spacious floorboard to keep your groceries, making it practical for everyday use. It also includes a floorboard-mounted light, which is an added convenience while accessing your bags in dimly-lit places.
Additionally, the e-scooter gets a pop-out storage compartments on the side panels, which the brand calls ‘Pill Storage’. It can be easily accessed and used to store small items, adding to the scooter’s practicality.
The scooter gets all-LED lighting and an apron-mounted headlight. It also gets a USB Type-C charging port on the apron to charge your phone on the go. Additionally, the charging socket is located on the apron, for added convenience and an easy charging experience.
Finally, the e-scooter has an accessible seat height of 775 mm, a long seat length of 920 mm, where two adults can comfortably sit. The scooter also gets an adequate ground clearance of 175 mm, which is more than enough for regular city usage.
Safety Features
The Simple Wave gets a disc at the front and a drum brake at the rear, which is more than sufficient braking performance for everyday riding.
It also gets a telescopic fork, and adjustable rear shocks, which should help keep the ride comfortable and controlled over uneven roads. The scooter also gets Hill Hold, which should make starting off from slopes easier.
It gets traction control on the higher variants, helping improve grip and stability while controlling wheel spin. It also gets Limp Home mode, which allows the scooter to continue running at limited performance when the battery charge is low, helping the rider reach the nearest charging point.
Additionally, the scooter also gets geofencing, timefencing and live tracking, that add extra convenience and security by allowing owners to monitor the scooter’s location and set virtual boundaries.
