The 2021 Classic 350 is poised to be more refined, and more feature-packed, possibly at the same price! Here’s why we think so

[UPDATE: The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been launched in India. To know the pricing, specifications and other details, head to our launch story here.]

  • The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 will share its powertrain with the Meteor 350.
  • J-Platform means the refinement levels will be considerably better than the current-generation UCE model.
  • Expect Royal Enfield to offer turn-by-turn navigation as an option.

The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is all set to be launched in a few hours from now. It marks an important chapter for Royal Enfield as the updated 2021 iteration will replace its cash cow, and is the second motorcycle based on the all-new J-platform after the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.

Going by the recently spotted test mules, the 2021 Classic 350 will likely be offered in different variants, with various colour schemes at different price points, just like the existing model. We believe the Chennai-based manufacturer might just price the updated model at around the same price bracket as the one sold at the moment. Wondering how? Check out our analysis.

The new Classic 350 will be powered by the same 349cc counterbalanced single-cylinder heart as on the Meteor 350. It is also likely to make the same 20.4PS and 27Nm as the cruiser. The bike will employ a telescopic front fork, twin rear shock absorbers, a disc brake up front and either a disc or a drum at the rear, depending on the variants. Expect Royal Enfield to offer both single-channel and dual-channel ABS.

Spy shots in the past have already revealed the fact that it will get similar old-school dial type switchgear as the Meteor 350. The instrument cluster is a new semi-digital unit, possibly with turn-by-turn navigation offered as an option.

The updated Classic 350 will rival the Jawa, Honda H’ness CB350 and the Benelli Imperiale 400. Stay tuned for more details from the launch event!
