The touring bike gets a fresh new colour option for 2027
Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Versys 650 in India at Rs. 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Which is the same as before. The 2027 model gets a new colour scheme, and remains mechanically unchanged.
Gets A New Colour
The biggest change on the 2027 Versys 650 is the new Candy Lime Green colour option. It replaces the Metallic Graphite Gray, which was previously available on the outgoing model. Overall, the new colour goes well with the motorcycle and gives it a unique character with the iconic Kawasaki green vibe.
Same Engine And Underpinnings
The Versys 650 gets a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine as before. It produces 66.9 PS at 8,500 rpm and 61 Nm at 7,000 rpm, and the engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike is suspended on a telescopic fork, while the rear gets a monoshock. The bike rolls on 17-inch wheels at both ends with road-biased tyres and gets a large 21-litre fuel tank.
Features
The Versys 650 gets a 4.3-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity features such as call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation, which add convenience while touring. On the safety front, it gets dual-channel ABS along with a switchable traction control system for added safety.

The Versys 650 has been around for quite some time, and now the motorcycle has started to show its age. That said, the new colour option does make it look slightly fresher.
The motorcycle still continues to offer a good touring package. However, a proper update with refreshed underpinnings, hardware and features would have been a great addition, keeping the upcoming competition in mind, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750, and the Norton Atlas.
