Yamaha YZF R15 – Elegant And Sporty In Every Sense

Yamaha has a long connection with the Indian market but gone dormant in 2000s. But with the launch of YZF R15 and FZ series, the Japanese giant woke up once again. Since people din’t had any viable option against CBR150R, Yamaha decided to plunge into this small capacity sports bike category and launched the YZF R15. Me too decided to go with the red coloured YZF R15 and since 3 years, this bike has never let me down in terms of performance. The motorcycle still stands as one of the most affordable sports bikes in the country with elegant design and sportier seating position. The trapezoidal twin headlights always catch the attention of the people every time I drive this in my vicinity. I am surprised that the maintenance cost of the bike is negligible except regular servicing. Performance wise I would say Yamaha has worked seriously to uplift the core strength in this second version. The 150cc engine of R15 can easily overshadow Pulsar 150 as its acceleration and pick-up has sporty intentions. As with similar bikes, my only concern remains is that of its side body panel which can easily get broken when parked. So, if you are one of those who love to drive sports bike but tight on budget, then Yamaha YZF R15 can quench your thirst right to some extent.
